This shop was open on New Years Day and the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful to all tourists hoping to find a quick meal on the holiday. The ordering here is very unique— you can make your own sandwich using one of their scratch sheets. We made two of our own sandwiches and only waited a few minutes.
The sandwiches were BEYOND BELIEF. Great ingredients, amazing taste, and very well prepared. My fiancé is a self-proclaimed “sandwich guy,” and he says this is one of the best sandwiches he’s ever had.
We stopped here on our way to the ferry. What a lovely way to end our trip on the island. Thank you SSD!

We needed a sandwich and wow did this place not disappoint. Clear instructions for their set up. The staff was super friendly. They have gluten free rolls as substitute for a sandwich. Hands down recommend and will be coming back.

I stopped in for a sandwich today and it was absolutely delicious! The woman who made my sandwich (which was an Italian Panini) was very nice and helpful. The only, very slight mark against it was there was no seating inside. That should not deter anyone from going there. I highly recommend it!

Just moved to island checking out all the spots. Ordered the Tiffany via phone. Was ready in 10 mins. Very good sandwich. Lots of the good kind of turkey. Wish the bread was a tiny bit softer but if you got it warm, it would probably be perfect. Couple girls there were not the most friendly, but they were fine. Looking forward to trying more sandwiches.

They make both hot and cold sandwiches and the ingredients are high quality. I ordered a turkey with provolone on wheat bread and it was amazing! They make a great grilled cheese sandwich with wonderful gooey, real cheddar cheese. It was absolutely delicious. There’s a lot of choices on the menu — pretty much a sandwich for every taste. Oh, they bake fresh cookies everyday too…which i found to be highly addictive. This place had everything needed for a really great lunch. They’re open every day from 11am to 4pm. Highly recommended!

I’m on the island for work and needed to grab something quick for lunch. So glad I chose this gem! I had the classic grinder which is incredible! (And very shareable!) and tried the potato salad…they are not kidding…IT’S GOOD! Great lunch stop! Highly recommended!

Ended up ordering from here on a whim and so glad that we did. It was super busy inside but the lady behind the counter was lovely and did a wonderful job of preparing all the food as fast as she could and keeping everyone up to date on where she was in the process. Absolutely loved their ordering system and the sandwiches were delicious and better than I could have hoped for.

This is my ideal deli! SO GOOD! The ingredients are fresh, the house sandwiches are creative and all sound delicious, and you can also fill out a sheet to make your own. The bread that they use is big enough to hold onto all the things in your sandwich without spilling out the sides. Ex: the sandwich pictured in my review is the veggie sandwich + turkey (it was so bomb), nothing fell out, they build ‘em right! Will definitely be going here again when visiting the island!!!!

I was worried about the customer service aspect after reading other reviews, but the two girls working seemed very friendly.
I admit the ordering process is a little strange (you write your order and name down and just put it on the counter, waiting to be called), and I wasn’t sure when exactly to pay, but it all worked out and the woman who I paid with was extra helpful ensuring I had a bag and extra napkins.
My Cuban sandwich with jalapeños was delicious and very well packed.
I will definitely be back!
