Drink…watered down. The appetizer was wayyyy too expensive for the amount or size. There were 4 tables filled in the restaurant and the staff couldnt keep up. It took 20 min for the watery drink. The appetizer pictured was about $17. What looked like the manager was seated at the front of the restaurant too chill to help the staff or check on the customers. Most of the staff was friendly and prompt except the lady/manager seated at the front of the restaurant in a trance and the petite server we had. We left and went to the Mexican restaurant! Plenty of parking and wonderful atmosphere inside and out.

we got seated at 8:45 after standing in the front for 5 minutes and nobody approaching us, we slowly got seated and food ordered , we had 1 sushi roll and 1 app that got to the table in 20 mins. we sat for 30 additional mins before we got our meals, when the meals arrived they were severely cold atleast 1 item on the plate was inedibly cold .our food did not arrive til 9:45 to 9:50 , when the restaurant closed at 10.personally i would not recommend this restaurant. also i have attached a picture of state of the bathroom. Also i would like to mention we were one of 2 tables. so not busy and when asked what was taking so long we were answered with “ the kitchen is backed up “,,In no means was this a ploy to the server she was great.

Today we had the pleasure of dining at ZEN Japanese restaurant , and it was an exceptional experience. The sushi was fresh and expertly prepared, and the variety on the menu catered to both traditional tastes and adventurous palates. The ambiance was calm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent service throughout the evening. I highly recommend ZEN Japanese restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy great Japanese cuisine. I’ll definitely be returning!

This is pretty disappointing to spend $15 for a sushi roll from Japanese “fine” dining. When you garnish a sushi roll with avocado that looks that bad, it makes me question how fresh the rest of your ingredients are. It was a good indicator because it was as unappetizing as it looked. The service was great however.

Incredible ambiance…truly Zen, only surpassed by the precise and artistic plating of the food. Food was great, but the fried Yuzu Cheesecake was unbelievable. Owen did an incredible job as a server as well; patient, polite, and polished.

I’ve been wanting to go for a while and finally made plans to go and I’m so glad I did. The sushi is very fresh and the nigiri is top notch! Don’t skip out on the crispy rice or the poke tuna tacos! I loved the food so much and definitely over ordered but glad I did because it was even good leftover! I will be coming back again 🙂

I was excited to try this restaurant, the sushi and salad were good and I have no complaints there. My biggest complaint was getting accosted by our waiter “Roberto” about what our stance was on the US invoking their white supremacy onto Venezuela and taking their oil and also kicking immigrants out of the country. He was very aggressive about getting his point of view across to us.
Not really they conversation I wanted to have with the wait staff and did not appreciate him Interupting our dinner conversation to invoke his political opinion.

BEST quality sushi & sashimi in Memphis! It’s a bit pricy for quantity…I am not a big eater, so it’s okay for me, but if you are really, really hungry… might not be the best fit for your needs.

Highly recommend! Everything was excellent and tasted fresh. We had the lobster crispy rice (seasonal), forbidden rice, 40 kell roll, and Ichigo roll. I loved the 40 kell roll. The spicy mayo here is delicious! Great atmosphere and service. We will definitely be back!
