It’s a small mom and pop type diner with nice and helpful waitresses. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger with fries, and I had the catfish, with hot slaw, and turnip greens. The burger was good and juicy, but the fish plate was fire. He helped eat because it was so good. We will definitely come back when in town. Oh and the pineapple upside down cake was so moist and delicious!

Great place! I love trying local. Wonderful people. I met the owner and her husband. Since soul food is difficult to come by, I suggest this alternative, which is a quaint place with country cooking.

Food and waitress were wonderful. The fried pickles were cooked perfectly and the chicken tenders were huge.

This is a nice little country style restaurant. The service was quick, friendly and our food came out hot. We had hamburgers and fries which I didn’t think were great. The hamburger meat tasted a little bland and the fries seemed to be cooked too long and were hard. Others may like this style but not me. Some of the other items on the plates they were bringing out looked good so I would try it again.

This place has best home cooked meals. Southwestern egg rolls are to die for. I had to buy a whole coconut cream pie after the first slice. Oh not to mention the honeybun cake is to die for. I know once u try this place, it’s hard not to want to come back!!

We were in the area for a white water rafting trip and decided to eat here based off of reviews – and oh how happy I am we did! The food was AMAZING (we had burgers, catfish, cheesesteak, sirloin, hot slaw, loaded tots, Mac n cheese, coconut cream pie… ok, basically everything on the menu), the atmosphere was welcoming but the real gem of this place are the ladies who work here. From our waitress to the owner to Sissy’s hugs as we walked out the door – they are what put our experience here over the top and will make us drive 3hrs to eat here again. Thank you for a wonderful ending to a wonderful day… see you again soon!

As you walk in, you are greeted by friendly staff and the wonderful smell of cooking food. It’s our first time at the establishment. We ordered chicken strip platters (loved them), onion rings (very good), and Mac and cheese (a bit salty but good). We are glad we came and tried this place.

Down home good food at very reasonable prices. Recommend the chicken fried steak and gravy, hot slaw was very good. My wife had flounder and we split a piece of coconut cream pie. Total satisfaction!
