When I visit my family in Connecticut I love to have some good pizza! My sister brought me here and I loved it!! We ordered the pepperoni pie and a sausage and green pepper pie! The crust was light and had a nice crisp and the toppings were delicious and fresh! One of the best pizza’s I’ve had!

Today for lunch, a Chicken sandwich on Focaccia (highly suggest #4!), spaghetti and meatballs, meatball calzone and chicken/broccoli/garlic white pie. As always, good family time for our busy family of 4, clean, kind service, and leftovers so I don’t have to cook tonight! (Total bonus!) Conveniently located in Merchant’s Walk. I came the day of the Super Bowl for a couple of large pizzas and one other time for some slices and the dude who assisted me with the transactions was polite and welcoming; the pizza was satisfying, and maybe next Super Bowl I’ll dine in to watch the game there (lol). I’d like to give this establishment a 3.5 stars, because I think there is room for improvement. This was our 1st time ordering from La Vera. We received their add in the mail earlier this week, and so we decided to give it a try. Firstly, the prices were higher on their online app. I understand that prices are subject to change, however, you just mailed these flyers out. Not good PR at all. On to the food, we ordered a large seafood special pizza. The clams and shrimp were small, however the flavor with the broccoli, garlic and EVOO was very good. The crust……. not sure how to improve that. We also ordered the chicken wings. They were nice size, juicy, yet lacked seasoning. They were way too bland. Lastly, the slices of cakes are half of a normal slice of cake, and one of the cakes had paper on it which I chewed before noticing. Not a horrible place but definitely room for improvement.
