I had a great time at the rooftop bar and lounge area for the 4th of July! It was my first time here, and it was such a great experience. The drinks were amazing, they had a food truck service with delicious hot dogs, and the vibe was super chill. Mad props to the bartenders and staff for staying on top of the water cooler, service at the bar, and to the genius behind the featured cocktails! I can’t wait to come back!

I ventured once more to the rooftop at Clermont, though I increasingly question the wisdom of doing so. Of late, the establishment has grown capricious in its habits, half the time it is given over to private functions, leaving the common patron to loiter about in uncertainty like a suitor denied entry to his beloved’s parlour.

As for their cocktails, the latest iteration is, Dune themed. An odd choice, for I had not previously considered Frank Herbert a guide to the art of refreshment. One sip convinces me that the management is experimenting with great enthusiasm and precious little direction. They are aiming for Arrakis, but landing somewhere closer to Macon.

Still, the rooftop retains one virtue: a sunset of noble proportions, which arrives with unerring punctuality and requires no mixologist’s hand. The food, however, continues its downward spiral. There is a taco truck, peddling trifles at seven to ten dollars apiece, items which, by natural justice, ought rather to be dispensed freely, perhaps even apologetically.

And, as if this insult were insufficient, the Saturday night I went to came with cover fee of $5 per person, as though one ought to pay simply for the privilege of entering the building. It is a most offensive innovation and one that ensures the rooftop at Clermont is rapidly perfecting the art of driving away those very patrons who once held it dear.

While the sunset remains splendid; everything else is best endured with flask in pocket and expectations in check.

Beet open roof top for hanging out with friends.
Its more chill and laidback- limit beer and drink options but you’ll find something to hang around.
$5 entry charged and Cocktails are $14 each.

Night view of midtown/ downtown is great!!

Staff is very friendly and great service.
Valet was prompt and friendly as well. They also had a great candle in the lobby! Comfy and warm sweaters too. Definitely worth the price since they are fleece.
The rooftop had an amazing view of the skyline. The only thing about the rooftop bar is that their liquor options are very limited.
The room I stayed in was overall very clean and comfortable. The only thing was the room had interesting pictures on the wall. My room was on floor B, and it was quite loud every time someone walked by whenever they were leaving the lounge while you’re just trying to sleep. There was also, white stains on the couch in my room.
The bathroom itself, was spacious and very clean. The only downfall of the bathroom was when I showered, the shower door doesn’t properly seal which caused water to be on the floor.
To my surprise, housekeeping came in everyday to take the trash out and made my bed.
The tv package wasn’t the best but it served its purpose.
Overall a good stay, with great views and great friendly staff.

I stayed here on 2.11.21
First I wish I could have gone down stairs to the club but I was tired. Clean establishment. Valet is prompt. Rooms aren’t that big with king and beds are low.. Just FYI. I did hit my leg on the bed several times.. Wood sticks out… Showers were really good… Bathroom would have been great with larger mirrors…..
Rooftop bar is definitely a nice vibe and it’s covered now…… Check it out.. In my opinion halls are dark so I kept saying I expect to see ghost .
Staff is amazing though especially the front desk. Friendly….. Definitely check the hotel out .. Ponce city market is close and a few bars and eateries….. Personally I disliked their TV package.

Hotel Clermont, what a major redo for an Atlanta staple. Being from the city it’s amazing to see how this hotel turned the corner! Soooo happy they kept Clermont Lounge (I’d have to start protesting if they took it away!) Clermont Lounge is the part of the Atlanta tour that everyone must go to see but it’s comes with disclaimers. Just good of fashioned quirky fun. I’ll let you experience it to understand why.

Anyway, this review is actually about the bar and all this beauty. Had really good cocktails one of which is notably named “Stripper’s Real Name” (nod to Clermont Lounge!) The bar is sultry, dark, sexy, and
private. Adjacent to the bar is a library lounge filled with games, up lighting, a photo booth and more seating. If you’re on a sneaky link sit on the bar side. Beautiful decor, great drinks, layered atmospheres. Didn’t hit the rooftop but will save for warmer months. Overall four stars for stiff drinks and unfortunately a stiff bartender.

We went with a group of 4 people at 4:00 pm on a Saturday and it wasn’t too crowded at that time. Great views, lots of seating. The bartenders were super nice. They don’t have too many options for cocktails on their menu. I tried the Feelin’ Frisky ($12), Rock, Paper, Saler’s ($13), and the (Your Name Here) ($13). I liked the first two, but wasn’t a huge fan of the last. They definitely need to have food up there – at the very least, they need some snacks. It was really fun though and we’ll definitely be back!

Stylish and fun spot to stay in the Old Fourth Ward. We only had one night downtown but this gave us easy access to the BeltLine (a priority for me), Ponce City Market, and its own rooftop with views of the skyline at sunset. Drinks on the rooftop are limited, but the bartenders are friendly and down to make something off menu for you.
