The burger was good – the salad average. The wine flight display was very nice but two of the glass were so filthy with lipstick and lip marks we took them up to the bar to be changed. The bartender (who was also our server new right away – but then I ask why wouldn’t she have checked the glasses before she served them??? As for server was bla – disinterested.
The ground are very cool and the two white Brotherhood wine were quite good!

we hosted my daughter’s wedding shower here and it was wonderful. From the planning to the service the day of the event everyone was extremely helpful, courteous and receptive to our needs. It was the perfect place for our special occasion and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a party venue. My daughter loves the urban look and the brick walls inside the restaurant made the setting so appealing.

Went here with my brother for dinner. Drinks were good. Service was great. For an app we ordered the roasted meatball donato. The meatballs were cooked perfectly, unfortunately the were bland. My brother had the chicken and waffles and he said they were really good. I had the brisket with sweet potato mash, coleslaw and cornbread. The sweet potato mash, slaw and cornbread were great, however the brisket was moist, very tender cooked perfectly, but was bland.

This is a beautiful place. All around looks nice and a big property well kept.
The restaurant is nice, the service was good and everyone who was with me was satisfied with their food.
The cocktails are OK, not great, but the wines are definitely great.
We also did the property tour with extra explanations about its history and values. Very nice experience.
I definitely recommend this place to visit, to eat, to drink good wine and to get fresh air and nice pictures.

Love this restaurant and bar. We had a ladies lunch here while our husbands were golfing. Staff were excellent. She was able to accommodate our rough crowd with professionalism. The menu had a lot of wonderful options. The prices were great. The food was great. It came out hot and delicious. The wine and cocktail menu was fantastic as well. Atmosphere was wonderful. They had soft music and the crowd was great. Decor was beautiful. Cleanliness was above par. Absolutely recommend this restaurant.

What a pleasant experience! We always make it a point to visit Brotherhood Winery, and being it is only 20miles from us, I wish we visited more.
A later Saturday afternoon to do a tasting, buy a case or two and some dinner.
I love the venue, as it is relaxing, and can be as fancy or as laid back as you want.
Very attentive staff, great cocktails and a nice wine selection.
The appetizers, and entrees had a phenomenal flavor profile, well prepared, generous portions and overall a very satisfying meal.
We will be back and next time to sample the brunch menu.
If you are visiting the area, special trip for the Shawangunk Wine Trail for the Holidays ( which is fun by the way) – be sure to stop at 1839 for some great food!

Nice space, sat outside. Food was ok, but way overpriced for what it was. A chicken salad sandwich was around 15 dollars and they charged $6 extra dollars for French fries upgrade from potato chips. Wedge salad with bacon was $20 (no chicken). French onion purses were like $16 for 5 tiny pieces. They were decent. Food was $84 for a tiny appetizer, a salad and a chicken salad sandwich including an ice tea and glass of sangria. Might go back for a wine tasting but the food was pretty average. I do want to add that the service was great so that’s why 3 stars.
