Do yourself a favor and head over to see Tom and get yourself a hot dog or sausage and peppers with a soda, close your eyes, take a bite and remember what it felt like to stop and get a dirty water dog on the street back home!
Then ask him for some of the most incredible local honey you’ll ever taste. It’s so good for you in so many ways, and when it comes to learning about using honey to help heal what ails you, just ask Tom. He really knows his stuff!
He’s an awesome person dishing up some delicious food and some super useful knowledge! Plus, he’s a local small busine
ss owner, and really, at the end of the day, what’s better than supporting that!
It’s a win no matter how you look at it! Enjoy!

You’ve got to try the White Hotdogs, a Rochester NY specialty. This is the only place to get them anywhere in Florida! The owner, Tom, is a super friendly guy. Keep in mind that he has to grill each hotdog to order (no dirty water dogs here) so it will take a few minutes but it is worth the wait.

Way to expensive for what you are getting.
Also, is there a limit to how many days in row you can use the same rubber glove? It’s definitely not a clean hotdog eating experience. So the price should reflect that. Be gross all you want but charge accordingly….

Roadside stands like this are the kinda places that define local character and quick, easy eats!

This hot dog cart can be found on the eastbound side of Northlake just north of Loxahatchee and west of the new master-planned community of Avenir on the cusp of both West Palm and Palm Beach Gardens. You’ll know it when you see the white pickup, little hot dog cart and sign that says – local honey!

According to the owner, he’s been in this same spot for twenty years, selling his grilled Zweigle’s branded hot dogs from upstate New York and local orange blossom honey with an unrelenting cheery, neighborly banter that could sooth even the hangriest of beasts.

To be honest, He is the primary reason you show up to a little place like this – he’s the kinda old-skool entrepreneur who puts on a great show while you wait for your dog. He’ll chat you up with some local stories about the things he seen over the years, the changes that have occurred, and the crazy people that did them all… And you’ll hear all about them with a huge helping of his sunny disposition.

The dogs? They’re fine. Zweigle’s is a quality, historic hot dog and sausage maker from Rochester, NY and they offer an old fashioned selection of natural casing hot dogs, delicately flavored whites and Texas style, spicy smoked sausages. The presentation here is nothing more than humble pushcart style dogs with ketchup, mustard, relish and kraut – don’t expect a fancy food truck experience. You won’t find it.

My overall take is to stop here for the experience. With all the growth in the western part of North Palm Beach County, it’s hard to know how much longer you’ll get to appreciate this small purveyor of the original walkaway food.

Go for the experience. Stay for the stories. Eat a hot dog. Leave with a pint of local blossom honey and the memory you’ve made having been here.
