Was out with friends to the Christmas village. We were hungry afterwards and this was the only place near us that was open. We aren’t from around this area and drove 3hrs to get here.
The pizza shop was once a barn and it’s tucked back in the middle of no where.
Service was good, food was good. Glad we stopped. If you’re in the area and looking for a place, check them out.

First Impression there was a weird smell when I walked in,reminded me of the deodorizer smell of the restrooms. They only offer bottles and can soda, lack of fountain soda was disappointing. Was not pleased with the fact they don’t sell just slices of pizza. Looked like the place was going out of business, the cooler against the wall was completely empty and the small seating area was closed off, like they do not get many customers.I ordered breaded chicken sandwich and the roll fell apart which means it was old and dried out but tasted good, but fries needed lots of salt. They offer a 8.99 lunch special which is any small sandwich, fries and drink, but said my sandwich didn’t count towards the lunch special it has to be a sub. Oh well what can you expect from Bernville anyway

Took over an hour to get our food. Had to tell the waitress our order for a second time because she forgot. Pizza did not arrive with topping and mozzarella sticks were completely forgotten.

Food was not worth it. Service was as bad. Ordered an appetizer of fries, no flavor. Our dinner was barely better than the fries. Don’t bother stopping here.

Mario’s Pizzeria in Bernville feels like revisiting a once-promising franchise that now leans too heavily on name recognition. The menu suggests a traditional, small-town comfort—something warm, familiar, a staple of the community. But what unfolds is a confusing tonal shift: prices that rival big-city trattorias, paired with food that doesn’t quite justify the cost.
The pizza is serviceable, the kind you’d expect in a filler episode—not bad, but not memorable. Nothing offensive, yet nothing inspiring. And when the bill arrives, it hits harder than a plot twist with no foreshadowing. You’re left wondering what, exactly, you paid for—because it wasn’t depth, it wasn’t nuance, and it certainly wasn’t immersion.
Service was neutral—neither warm nor cold—just functional, like background NPCs that exist to keep the story moving without ever making you care. The atmosphere had potential, but like the food, it felt stuck between identities: not quite casual, not quite elevated.
Mario’s doesn’t fail because it’s bad. It fails because it promises more than it delivers. And when prices stretch beyond what’s earned, the illusion collapses. This isn’t a final boss worth the grind—it’s a side mission you finish and forget.
A two-star experience. Passable, but overpriced, and not worth a return trip unless the script gets rewritten.

My family loves eating here. We go 1 or 2 times a month. It is my wife’s favorite pizza. I love the hot wings and their burger is surprisingly good.
If you’re in Bernville and need a bite, this is a solid option.

My two boys got to enjoy an amazing meal on their way to Koziar’s Christmas Village, the staff were extremely friendly. The food was ready quickly, and 4-year old picky eater found something to enjoy! Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area.
