The food here is good, classic southern food at a locally owned spot. Unfortunately, if you’re not a regular you’ll have no idea what’s on the menu, cause they don’t had them out unless you ask. Also if you’re not a regular, you can forget about decent service. As they do not go out of their way to be kind to their customers, unless they know them. The waitresses have obviously no respect for each other. I have been here twice and twice have listened to them boss each other around complain. The wait staff is definitely under-staffed, which leads to drinks unfilled, tables unchecked on, and reliance on someone else to pick up the new table that just sat down, and just poor communication.
For example, I went to the register to ask for a refill (as no one had come by our table in a while), one waitress directed another to assist me (both were available to be helpful), the waitress took my drink and refilled it and never smiled or acknowledged that I said “thank you”. She was too busy talking and laughing with people she knew, though she was the original waitress that took our orders. We never saw her at our table again the entire time.
This place has potential to be a sweet classic southern hospitality spot, but unfortunately if you’re not a regular or directly from the area, it’s just a cold restaurant with decent food. May as well drive up to Tupelo and go to Cracker Barrel.

Stopped in for lunch on our road trip. The parking lot was packed (a good sign), the service quick and friendly and the food was tasty. Even the other patrons were friendly, one of them jumping up to get drink refills and silverware when someone needed it. Will definitely be back if we are through this way again.
