Evie’s Treats
I had the katsu chicken, which came with large portions of chicken and rice and a small side salad. The chicken was perfectly breaded and crispy and the rice was warm and not dry. Pretty solid meal.

Was in the area and had to try this place out. The atmosphere of the inside is small and cozy, the kinda feeling when you make a little club house, lol. As for the food, mmmm it’s delicious. I had order the Chickeb Katsu, it’s comes with a side of two scoop of white rice(you can sub for fried noodle or fried rice for an extra charge), and a small Salad with a small sauce. Also this is just me, this isn’t the insane dry rice, it’s the nice fluffy juicy hood rice! The service was also nice too, if you’re in the area, should 100% check this place out.
P.S: There’s an option for extra meat, when each order already comes with a generous amount of meat. Which is nice for later left overs. 🙂

Update to last year review: Still amazing teriyaki along with fast friendly service. I was just overcharged last time…
Always the best! Less a star because of the price of shrimp tempura ($8.95) for 3. Amazingly good but extremely too expensive…….. But I’ll be back again, and highly recommend!!!! I love both locations.

Ordered Chicken Yakisoba, Chicken Katsu, and 10 piece Gyoza.
The Chicken Yakisoba had just a few strands of noodle and an abundance of greens, and the previous nights chicken. Granted, I was probably the first customer of the day I would rather have waited for fresh chicken to be prepared and noodles to be found than had to have paid for this embarrassment of a plate.
The chicken Katsu looked as if it was just thrown into a bowl of egg and flour, no crispy Panko to be found. Chicken was over cooked and dry. This was my personal plate and living in Hawaii and San Diego I’ve had quite a bit of katsu. This plate is at the very bottom of that list.
All in all, the Yakisoba was for my daughter and she wanted nothing to do with it.
The chicken katsu is probably the worst I’ve had in Virginia and close to the bottom of my all time list.
The gyoza is frozen then fried so they can’t really mess that up.
Would not recommend for anyone, especially anyone who has actually has enjoyed Japanese plate lunch style food before.

As someone who is half-Japanese, been to Japan on numerous occasions, and grew up eating my mom’s home cooking, this place’s Katsu is legit. Their Teriyaki bowls are also good and at a very fair price, which is refreshing to see in a market scorned by ridiculous amounts of inflation these days.

Great lunch spot. The teriyaki chicken is really tasty. I recommend paying a little more for the fried rice because I think it goes better with the meat. The salad that comes with the combo is quite tasty too. They have some kind of poppyseed dressing which tastes amazing. The shrimp tempura is also delicious. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here and will be going back.

Food is excellent definitely recommend, also expect higher prices than in the menu. Add at least 5 dollars to the combos. Otherwise amazing food nothing else better for this authentic food.
