We have searched far and wide for a good pizza. We found it here at Black Stone.
Crust is totally edible and has the perfect “chew”.
The mushrooms are fresh, not from a can. The sauce was very tasty and left a pleasant after-taste. Fantastic cheese. Perfect cook. The homemade dough is amazing. The owner personally came over to our table to check on us.
He cares about his restaurant.
Very clean. Very clean bathroom too! We have been in some top quality restaurants that had very dirty bathrooms. That is always a clue as to what the kitchen might look like!
We can’t wait to go back and try the cheese steak subs!

After driving 5 hours from NY I wanted something quick. Found this nice spot! When I walked in I was greeted by Becca with so much positivity and great energy. I forgot it was Super Bowl Sunday and despite having so many orders to fill, I was able to get my pizza and wings super fast. I sat while I was waiting, the place is very very clean. It seems like a great atmosphere to sit down and enjoy some great food. 10 out of 10! Definitely will be back!!

Wow! Im so happy to have finally used my GC that I received for Christmas from my boss. I ordered the Philly cheese hoagie e/ fries & my fiancee ordered the Bacon Cheese burger w/ fries. I was 12 mins late getting my order so, ofc I was expecting the fries to be soggy. To my surprise the fries are still crispy and the bread isnt soggy!! Yay! Happy camper!

I don’t know what happened. Maybe new owners? Been ordering here for a year because it was great pizza.
The last 2 times, my dog won’t even eat it. Advertising a pizza for $15 but when you show up to pay it’s over $20 if you use a debit card.
Stop giving these people your business. The place across the street is better, front Street is better, heritage is better.. and it didn’t used to be that way. Sad.
It’s literally the worst pizza in Altoona, and their scamming price gouging depending on how you pay should be illegal. They don’t mention it until you tap your card.
This place will be closed down in less than a year. They’re already cheaping on ingredients to keep the same profit margins and it shows.
I’ve never thrown a pizza away in my life, until yesterday. It was salted cardboard, for $21 (just a large, not the XL).

Alot to say about this restaurant. I loved the interaction between the server and owner, very friendly atmosphere. Love the theme of the place, centered around mob movies. Very quaint and comfortable. The food was delicious, have not had a good fish for awhile and my fiancee had BBQ pizza, it was also great. The prices were fair and I plan on returning again to try more of their great food! 100% recommend!

We absolutely love coming here. The staff is always so friendly and the portions are great. The food is delicious and dine in gets one complimentary beer or wine, which is so sweet of them. The sweet potato fries appetizer is generous and served with a sweet dipping sauce, the greens and berries salad is my favorite mixed fruit salad in the entire area plus it comes with their house made bread, and the stromboli is massive and tasty. We always look forward to going back to eat in or carry out.

Not impressed 25 minutes waited for order to be taken, she did not come to us. I started out to the reception area and she started back to our table. It was a 40 min wait for two pcs.. of pepperoni pizza… and an order of bread sticks
Dipping oil tasted like cheap olive oil with cilantro in it……..they were not done….still doughy in the middle…… actually thought there was cheese in them! Yuck …

In a town that takes its pizza seriously, this spot stands in a league of its own. It’s not your typical greasy slice; you can tell they use high-quality, fresh ingredients. The crust has the perfect crunch, the sauce is incredibly fresh, and the staff makes you feel like family. This is easily the best-kept secret in Altoona.
