My best friend and I had a wonderful experience with our waitress Kylin and her service was impeccable! Everything we ordered was also top tier and came out in a very timely manner. We had several nigiri, the negitoro roll, the kushiyaki, the edamame, the trufflaluffagus and it’s hard for me to determine which dish was my favorite because they were all divine! 10/10 experience and will definitely be back

Now I know great sushi and seafood, having worked at Uchi and an array of high end restaurants throughout my life. This restaurant is simple in the decor but big on the service and atmosphere. Every track that came on had my nephew and niece bopping in their seats. The manager Jo took sooo much time to make us feel special and brought over ducks for the kids to play with at the table and was so kind with them that by the end they were fast friends. She is a natural with customer service. The wait staff was great, our waters were always full, and everything we needed was brought before asking for it. The food was flavorful and filling! Prices were really great too, especially coming from California. The spicy yellowtail and crunchy tuna were highlights for me because they just bursted with flavor. Kinoko is often my favorite piece of my meal but here it had to be the miso caramel ice cream that just finished it so perfectly. And again they were kind enough to bring the kiddos bowls of ice cream for them to enjoy, so they weren’t left out.
The place even has a gated area in the front of the restaurant that was perfect to let them run off some steam after the meal. I will be back and I encourage you to try it for yourself!

This was an absolutely amazing dinner and maybe the best sushi I’ve had in Houston. Our server (I believe his name was Jello) paid us close attention and gave us wonderful service and recommendations. The food was creative, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The omakase was a great value and good way to taste things I otherwise wouldn’t have ordered on my own. This was a magical night for me personally. I’ve been recommending to all of my friends, and I can’t wait for another occasion to go back!

One of the best sushi lunch spots in town! Super fresh fish, beautifully plated, and great portion sizes. The lunch specials are a fantastic deal for the quality you get. Service was friendly and fast. Chefs engaged as well, great to see! Highly recommend the sashimi set and nigiri… will definitely be back!

The sushi here hits that sweet spot of upscale casual. You get quality fish that’s carefully prepared, even if the selection isn’t huge. Prices aren’t dirt cheap, but they’re far from outrageous. Cocktails were on the lighter side compared to others I’ve had. Overall, I enjoyed the food and vibe, perfect if you’re looking for something chill. Bonus: there’s Fat Cat ice cream and a mini bar in the food court here. The main chef here has worked at Uchi and his main spot is Aiko, which leans more towards finer and fancier sushi.

Everything thing I ordered was amazing. I gave a four star because miso soup or my infamous plum wine didn’t make the menu. I love plum wine while enjoying my Maki Rolls. I did try an Old Fashion; the presentation was sufficient. I will be back for the Crispy Tuna and Yuzu Ebi Roll . I had to order a second round of the Crispy Tuna Roll. I also tried the Shaggy Dog and the Surf & Turf. I did enjoy both but they didn’t make my favorites list. The fried sweet potatos was good as well. This spot is a hidden gem, nice, and clean. Everyone showed hospitality and the customer service was great! I’ll definitely return to this restaurant. They do offer a happy hour menu from 11a – 5p.

I came in after a long day of work and every single bite of sushi was so fresh and delicious I forgot all about work. This might be my favorite place in Houston to grab sushi now. The menu isn’t huge but I’m sure that’s on purpose and because everything is made with care and thoughtfulness. The atmosphere is very chill and the staff is all super nice. I will absolutely be back.

Stopped in for dinner and was pleased with the food, we tried a few items my favorite was the Mustang Roll and the crispy tuna roll. The place is very small with about seating for 25 people and about 6 tables plus bar seating. The service was really good they constantly stopped by to ask us if we needed anything else. We will return and try other items on the menu and the miso dessert that the owner recommended.

A Fantastic Omakase Experience at Himari
We had the pleasure of trying the Himari Omakase Valentine’s menu last night, and it was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was beautifully crafted, offering a perfect balance of flavors and textures.
The experience started with edamame and lead into a tuna tostada, both fresh and flavorful, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. The Trufflaluffagus roll was a standout, combining rich truffle notes with delicate seafood. The Sake Nigiri and Kanpachi Nigiri, were incredibly smooth and melted in our mouths, and the meal ended on a high note with their caramel ice cream with a ginger crumble, a unique and delicious dessert.
Of course, we couldn’t resist ordering our longtime favorite—the crispy tuna. But exploring the Omakase menu definitely introduced us to some new favorites that we’ll be ordering again!
Himari continues to impress with its fresh ingredients, innovative dishes, and top-notch service. If you’re a sushi lover looking for an elevated dining experience, this is the place to go.

I came here to blow time while my son was at soccer. I ordered an old fashioned which came out relatively quick maybe 10 mins or so. When I walked in, no one greeted me and the bartender tried to get the employees attention to help me as she did not speak English. She sat me outside, and I ordered a roll. The service was really slow just to get water. The couple that were seated in front of me left. I’m sure there is potential here when it is not busy, but it missed the mark for me regarding service. No one came out to ask how my drink or roll was. They were both good btw. I asked for the WiFi when I sat down and my server said she would find out. After I finished eating she asked if I still needed it.
