This is the perfect small town dive but big dive bar. Passing through Vassar and saw the neon sign and had to stop for a pint.
I did not have any food. But they were quick to get it out.
The bar top is well worn and that perfect height. Pretty fair selection of alcohol and 5 beers on tap. One pool table, booths line the wall across the bar and the establishment is clean.
Kaydon was super nice and was quick to take orders. Friendly and answered all my questions about Vassar.

Haven’t been here in awhile. Heard chef D was cooking, so had to go. I had the cod fish and Fry’s. Batter was very good, will go back again. They do need to spend some money on their booths, due to very old and no cushions left in seats, so your like setting in a hole. But everything else is ok, open the other side for more room, and keep chef D.

Stopped for lunch to go and had a drink while we waited. We ordered the recommended sandwich of the day. It was phenomenal!! Staff was friendly, service was fast, and we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

Food was amazing!! Stopped in for lunch. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap and my fiancé got the pulled pork quesadilla and fried corn. We also got the fried pickles which came out delicious and crispy. Would definitely recommend stopping in!
