Stopped in with less than 30 minutes to close for lunch. Found a nice selection of meats and vegetables on the steam table. Picked the baked chicken plus greens, mixed vegetables, and rice dressing. They add dinner roll. Chicken fell off the bone tender, and they gave me enough for two people so I ate half and two sides. Saved the rest for later.
Locally owned restaurant food is so much better than the franchise stuff. You just have to look outside the high rent strip mall areas.

If you’re like me and want to support independent restaurants, Theriot’s is a slam dunk. This place’s daily menu has practically something for everyone. Me, I’m partial to Monday’s 7-Steak in Gravy and Tuesday’s Meatloaf with Mushroom Gravy. Add to that three additional sides you choose and you’ll be in the zone.
I can’t say enough good things about them. We usually get something three times a week. Yeah, I think they’re that good.

I ordered 2 large plate lunches shrimp and crab stew,and salad. The stew was not even eatable it had no flavor, no crab meat and the shrimp was definitely frozen not fresh. I was supposed have a salad but they put a piece of tomato skin in it no tomato’s and the onion rings were dripping with grease hard and burnt paid over $40 dollars for this food and threw everything away no one could eat it! Very disappointing especially for the price we paid for all this food

I ordered a plate lunch of sausage with rice and gravy, delivered through the Waitr app awhile back. I must have gotten them on an off day because it did not taste good at all. The sausage was not fully cooked. The brownie that I ordered for dessert was hard and tasted old. I will give them another try in the future based on the other reviews. Hopefully it will turn out better.

Three stars for being kind and the food being decent and plentiful. Good prices as well. I just do not care for the bbq. It’s drowned in a thick bbq sauce, not really flavorful definitely no bbq flavor. The rice dressing is good, just not seasoned enough. I know a lot of people love it but all in all I wouldn’t chose it again.

This is one of the best places to get plate lunches and/or poboys, burgers in this town. The food is so good and so much, it usually knocks me out for about 2 hours right after I’m done eating it. Because of that, I’m only going to award it 4 stars. But I enjoy the food so much, and they’ve never gotten my order wrong, I’m gonna go ahead and restore that star, totalling 5 stars.
So just be aware that after eating here, you will be basically incapacitated for 1-2 hours.
