New reaident here! Still adjusting and this is a lovely way to chillax after unpacking boxes fo sho.
I ordered a milkshake (The Rhubarb Crumble) which was delicious, let my little monster play, and didnt worry a lick. This place is large, spacious, and has plenty of games for kids AND adults to have fun with while your meal is prepared – which I highly encourage you take a look at their menu online or just go in!
They do have pups, and as always aak before petting or interacting (as one should always do with working pups!) There are salmon based dog treats and souvenirs available. Take moment to reflect on their history as it is also available!
Thanks guys! Cant wait to sample more of your menu!

Amazing food!!! Butternut squash soup nd salad and the turkey panini. Really surprisingly good for the side of the road. Great little mushing center with some merchandise for purchase. If you need any skijoring gear or dog booties and harnesses, ask them to see their gear room!

Fantastic place to stop between Anchorage and Denali; super friendly people, great service, excellent food (sad I missed breakfast, though), and the sled dogs were beautiful. The only bad thing is they don’t have covered seating (yet— it’s on the list of upcoming improvements they are working hard on), but in decent weather it’s great! Loved having lunch here.

Chicken bacon ranch panini was really good. The hot beef had a wonderful cheese sauce. Crispy fresh chips and crunchy pickle chip came with each sandwich. Staff was very friendly. No inside dining and restrooms are port-a- cans

We passed this place travelling north from Anchorage to Denali and I made a note to stop on the way back south. We arrived around 11:15 and had a delicious lunch in the yard. Quite a selection also! The family played badminton while waiting for the food. The egg muffin sandwich was delish and the biscuits and gravy were flavorful. The kids enjoyed the Waffles with strawberries. We all enjoyed reading the history of the buildings and the Dog Center (we’ll save that for next time!).
I love what they are doing and what they’ve built. Definitely a good place to stop near Willow (there aren’t many!)

One of the best food stops so far in our Alaska RV trip. 100 percent recommend. The food was so fresh, and tasted amazing, hit the spot. The latte options were endless and I finally decided on the London fog latte, which was delicious. Of course, if you ask our 8 year old, the dogs were the best part. There are games if the kids and/or adults to play. So, it’s a spot to stretch the legs, burn off some energy, and fill your tummy. The staff were also so friendly and accommodating for modifying things for our son. Definitely saving this location for next Year’s Alaska trip! Thank you so much Trailside!

Best food and coffee in Willow. I’ve been in. Willow for 5 years and finally went to Trailside a couple weeks ago and realized what I’ve been missing out on! The food is amazing, the breakfast sandwich is one of the best I’ve ever had. The coffee is perfect every time and they have a bunch of unique options. My kids love going there to play the games and see the dogs. Skip the little drive up coffee stands and stop at Trailside!

Incredible roadside destination with super friendly folks, delicious fresh, high quality food, including smoothies and espresso drinks. Carrie and Kale set a super high vibe with music, yard games, and bonfire. Then after you fuel up, you can go on a tour of the sled dog kennels, learn about the history of the tradition and see all the incredible work they are doing to give retired sled dogs a great home! Don’t miss this spot on your way to Denali!

They had a caprese grilled cheese as the special and it was delicious! Many more items on the menu I wanted to try. Great atmosphere. Glad we stopped!
