What makes this place great is the amazing small cozy atmosphere, free garlic bread with marinara sauce, reasonable prices, and amazing service. We didn’t get any pastas this time but you can’t go wrong with any of there options. If we were to recommend a pizza get the Margarita. Overall this is amazing restaurant that we highly recommend and nothing better than supporting a small family business.

First visit, I had the Meat Lovers pizza (pepperoni, sausage, ham, meatball).
Very good, large enough to take 1/2 home.
Table rolls with warmed marinara sauce was a nice touch.
Even the dining area music was good.
Good, friendly service by Raul.

I’ve been coming here for 10+ years. I love the staff, the atmosphere and especially the food my favorite is the famous Romanos Pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, chicken, artichoke. Consistent, friendly, & delicious.

Don’t know if this man is owner or employee and waiter. He has a disdainful attitude. After being a customer for 10 years, we have found a better place to spend our money. My daughter ordered food from there for a grad party and the quote she received was nuch lower than when she paid. He could have made this right, but his response was curt.

We come here frequently and have never had a bad meal. Their food is fantastic. My favorites are the salmon and pasta as well as a fantastic garlic chicken pizza. I am from out of town and every time I come to San Clemente, Romano’s is first on our list.

I am giving one star because I can’t give zero.
I do not recommend this place. We came in , the place was empty. The waiter told my family of 4 to sit anywhere we liked. Then he took our order and came back with our food in about 10 minutes never offered any drinks . We were shocked about how ridiculously small the plates were; as if was from the kids menu . I am not kidding , you could literally count the pieces of pasta. The waiter was too distracted on a face time phone call that he failed to notice that we finished the food and he still offered to go boxes.
I can only say that we hated eating in this place because there wasn’t enough food and it was expensive. We had to get more food on another restaurant. No wonder this place was empty.

This place has really great food! The bread with marinara was amazing in itself! Also had THE BEST chicken Parmigiano of my life. I do regret not trying the lobster ravioli but there’s a good reason to come back!

Trying the seafood pasta not on menu $ 11-$16 OK not the best small portions told shrimp and calimari in and scallop in the dish. but not one scallop in my dish waiter lied or there out of it.

Recently went to Romano’s on Saturday night with a couple friends of mine. We ordered garlic knots, spicy rigatoni vodka, lasagna, and a meat lover’s pizza. The food was incredible, the service was attentive, and the ambience was beautiful. We will certainly be returning! I highly recommend Romano’s for a cozy, relaxing, and delicious experience!
