This is not the first time I’ve ordered from Roberto’s Pizzeria, but it will absolutely be my last.
I am a disabled individual, so I need my food delivered directly to my apartment door — which has never been an issue in the past. I understand they handle their own deliveries and I respect how small businesses work. But let me be very clear: I am not responsible for how Grubhub displays or processes their system information. I provided my full address and unit number.
I called the pizzeria because the driver was running a little late — nothing extreme, just enough for me to check in and make sure everything was okay. Instead of a simple update, the boss called me back with an immediate attitude. He claimed there was “no unit number,” even though it was clearly entered, AND I left a note.
While I was calmly explaining that the food must be brought to my unit, the boss told me to “calm down” — even though I wasn’t yelling or raising my voice at all. That is gaslighting, not customer service.
The delivery driver himself was a polite young man, though he seemed flustered today. I wished him happy holidays and he went on his way. My issue is not with him — it’s with the manager’s disrespectful behavior.
Let me say this plainly:
If you’re going to treat disabled customers like this, it’s unacceptable and disgusting. Even if I were fully able-bodied, leaving food downstairs is unsafe — packages get stolen, tampered with, or messed with regularly.

Not living in this area, this was the highest rated Italian place in the vicinity. I needed food for a 90th birthday celebration the next day and spoke with Jason. He couldn’t have been more patient and accommodating. He delivered the food the next day on-time (a couple of mins early, actually). All the food was excellent as well as large portion sizes (chicken parm, stuffed shells, 2 types of salad, specialty rolls, sautéed spinach and garlic knots). Highly recommended!

$3.50 for a small slice of pizza is insane. My small 6 year old can eat two of those and still be hungry. Make your slices bigger or sell them for a $1.00.

They are getting worse every day. They barely put any cheese on the pizza, it’s just a small layer of cheese on the top. The pizza is very bad.

The food is great the prices I wish I can go down like I was from 2013 and I know how expensive this economy is getting but just because somebody ordered something with a $20 bill that does not mean you take the rest and keep the change unless the customer says you can keep the change because that’s gonna make other people not want to tip as well and I have noticed that deliveries I’ve been taking peoples change and not giving it back. because why did my cousin text me last week and said she ordered something and she didn’t get her change back? What is that? Does the owner know about this?

Roberto’s is our neighborhood pizza place, and we’ve been ordering from there for a few years now. Our go-to is a large cheese pie. It never fails. They have maintained their quality over the years. If we’re in a pinch for lunch or dinner, especially on weekends- Roberto’s comes through.
Added bonus – their ingredients. We have food allergies (soy) and this pizza passes!

Just want to say that I just moved to New Rochelle from Sacramento, CA and we came here the day after we moved. We felt so welcome and everyone was super nice and friendly. The pizza is great and the employees are awesome. Our power was out from Hurricane Sandy for a long time and we were eating here practically every day. They let us charge our phones and everything and were totally super nice and their pizza is amazing! I love this place!

LOVE their specialty rolls!!! Just the right amount of dough to filling, they reheat perfectly cause they are huge and the semolina keeps it crispy. My favorite is the chicken francese. The Drake my second favorite sandwich and the garlic knots make great snacks. So far everything has been delicious and never disappointed in anything we have tried. My daughter moved nearby from Morris Park and though I still live there I now drive here for food. Don’t change anything…it’s perfect food and prices. Thank you for making delicious food that makes me happy.
