If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Excellent old school Italian. Kenny, our server, was absolutely fantastic! Personable, knowledgeable about every menu item, and he’s a funny guy. The food was superb. From the octopus, shrimp and crab appetizers to the pasta dishes and the steaks, everything was fantastic! If I’m ever in the area again, I’m definitely going back!

Like getting a romantic Italian dinner in the Alps. At least, it felt like that on a cold winter’s night. Great food, great presentation, great service. Can’t wait to go back. Must get the giant tiramisu!!! Maybe the best I’ve ever had.

We had an Excellent Experience of Service, Dinner, Ambiance, the details of the owner Mr. Vittorio & his beautiful and kindest wife Kim. The food was absolutely authentic and delicious. Lastly Our Server Alessandro, he speaks 5 different languages, excellent to details and knew every item on the menu. Highly Recommend.

Went here twice in one week because it was so fantastic! A beautiful little romantic Italian restaurant with such a menu that everything sounds so delicious, making it hard to just pick 1 entree. The service is excellent, and the chef/owner is so friendly and appreciative for the patrons. Definitely feels like you’re fine dining in New York City while eating here. Would highly recommend Lanni’s!

We ate here this past weekend and had a lovely meal. I went in thinking I’d have chicken parm or spaghetti and meatballs, but I quickly realized that this is not “American Italian” it’s authentic Italian food. The owner and chef hails from Naples and the food was distinctly old world Italian. We started with the egg plant appetizer. Omg it was out of this world. The egg plant was so tender and dare I say buttery. Absolutely delicious. My GF had the veal medallion special. That too was delicious and I had a pasta Ragu dish. We finished off we an authentic canoli imported from Sicily adorned with Sicilian pistachios. The whole meal was superb and we can’t wait to come back. Our waiter was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and friendly. We met the owner ( who actually took our order). He was very personable and kind. Highly recommend this gem!!

Plenty of parking. A very nice addition to the Sparkill and Piermont food scene.

May 2025 Update:

Alessandro Rocky were great servers and had great hospitality

From the website:

Chef Vittorio mixes a subtle hint of traditional peasant food with his modern take on fresh, hand-selected seasonal ingredients. The warm, intimate setting of Cucina Verace’s rustic space is a wonderful backdrop to a dining experience rooted in the chef’s past. Chef Vittorio shares the skills he learned in his mother Carolina’s kitchen in Campagna to bring you a southern Italian meal that you won’t soon forget. Chef Vittorio’s frequent trips back to Italy to explore the country’s regions also help to shape the unique menu.

We went here for a wine pairing dinner a couple weeks ago. The wine was delicious, the servers were attentive and the sommelier made every effort to describe the wines… The only problem is the food was a bit disappointing. The fried seafood was bland; Sorry just say that the squeeze of lemon is never enough when there’s not enough salt. The vongole pasta was decent but the portions were quite small. While the portions for everything else was way too much for us to finish.

Can’t describe my groups experience as anything but perfect. Had a huge selection of wines to choose from. Perfect wine for every different meal! Food was also spectacular. Booked a second reservation while dining on first trip. Must try place. As authentic Italian as you can get in the area!

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I had the shrimp and crab cocktail to start and it was tender and delicious. My main course was squid ink linguini with seafood in tomato broth- I loved it. Portions are huge. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic night out.

This is back to back 5 STAR reviews. We had to wait long past our reservation to get seated but things happen and staff was all cool and well worth the wait. Alessandro was our waiter and he made us forget about the wait and we focused on the food. Seafood salad- WOW. Fettuccine alfredo with truffles – WOW. All entrees. Chicken scarpiello. Amazing. And the Tiramisu to finish was equally outstanding. Kudos to all staff and especially Alessandro for an outstanding dining experience.
