This restaurant has yummy flavorful food. I love getting take out from here after work if I don’t want to cook. Clearly you can see I prefer the two chop/ two sides option but I did also try the chicken. Note the golden color of the seasoned batter on the wings. I like their dessert cakes also. The food is homemade and you can taste the difference between this food and a chain restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the food is seasoned and delicious. Tasty.

We were visiting from Texas for our son’s hockey team playoffs and hosted a team lunch. Found Vickey’s – and am so happy we did. Such friendly people, they let me sample some sides, guided me through how much to order, and everyone loved the food. Really reasonable prices too. Grilled chicken was incredible, the pound cake was spectacular. We also got the ribs (fall off the bone), pulled pork (they threw in slider buns), mac n cheese, coleslaw, collared greens, corn bread, sweet potato pie and cobbler. The feast was amazing and since we were at an Airbnb we didn’t have enough plates – so the person who delivered our food actually drove back with more plates. We are so grateful to have found Vickey’s and had them cater a memorable and delicious bbq lunch party! Thank you – from the entire Texas Tigers hockey team.

I just had the best chicken and waffles I think ever here at Vickey’s soul grill! You get 2 big waffles with 6 whole chicken wings honestly enough for two people! The chicken was cooked to perfection! If your in the penn hills area it’s a must! You can eat inside too. Not just take out!

My son really liked it. I’m still on the fence but will go back to try something else the smothered pork chops were too salty for me to eat and the yams were a little too sweet. Chicken,cabbage, rice and peas were good. I just think that it needs a little tweaking to be off the chain.

The food was absolutely delicious, but the only downside is the containers they put your sides in are SUPER small. Even the cornbread when I opened the container was a small cube… so yeah it was delicious but the side portions are disappointing.
