Their buffet setup seems to be in a good spot for lunchtime.
Not sure why they have a Christmas music station, it’s a bit late for such jingles, no?
Ordered Gobi Manchurian, gravy, Chana masala, dal makhani, dal tadka, bhindi masala, mushroom matar, minus the matar (peas), all spicy, garlic naan. $111.22
The Gobi Manchurian with gravy, the cauliflower isn’t crispy. It’s yummy sauce. Would get it dry and crispy the next time.
Service was good throughout our meal. Waiting to get our bill paid and a bag and container to go yet, as a large party arrived.
A big party is waiting for the back room to get setup.
The Chana masala, mushroom, dal tadka, dal makhani, garlic naan and seasoned basmati rice are all good. Good heat and flavor too.
It gets a bit chilly as it’s only 18 degrees outside, kept my vest and coat on.
If you are looking for authentic, bold flavors, 1947 Indian Cuisine is a must-visit. I recently tried a few dishes that were absolutely standout:
Valentine’s Day Special Chicken Charga: This was the star of the show. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with a depth of flavor that made it impossible to stop eating.
Paneer Sabji Kebab: A fantastic vegetarian option! The texture was spot on, and the blend of paneer and spices was incredibly savory.
Tandoori Roti: Fresh, hot, and the perfect vessel for soaking up every bit of flavor.
Everything was truly “finger-licking” good. The quality of the ingredients and the expertise in the kitchen really shine through. Whether it’s a holiday special or their standard menu, the food here never misses. Highly recommend!
Update: Had our New Year’s Eve dinner here with a group of 16ppl. Food was delicious as usual but I was impressed with their mocktails.
As buffets went away during and after Covid it’s great to see them coming back and with high quality. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
The butter chicken was the highlight of the whole meal — rich, creamy, perfectly spiced, and honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. If you come here, it’s a must-try without question.
Everything tasted authentic, fresh, and made with so much love. If you’re looking for real Punjabi flavours & bomb mango lassi this spot is the one. Highly recommend! ️
