what an absolute gem in the catskills!!! I have found it difficult to find a restaurant that compares even within NYC and I often find myself thinking back to the dishes I enjoyed here.
The flavor profiles and dish visuals were unique and exquisite, fresh and perfect for a summer’s day.
I look forward to returning!

Absolutely Outstanding!
This restaurant upstate New York is truly a hidden gem. Every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented — you can tell the chef puts real care into every plate. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was impeccable. From start to finish, it was an amazing dining experience. I can’t wait to come back — easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had!

My husband and I were excited to eat here after the reviews and being one of the few high end restaurants nearby (we were visiting from out of town). It was fantastic! We ordered the risotto and the rib-eye as well as desserts. Although the rib-eye didn’t come out in the temperature that we asked, everything was so tasty! The staff was incredibly friendly and the desserts were amazing. I highly recommend!!

This place is absolutely beautiful, and the combination of ingredients, like the edible flowers, is visually stunning.
My favorite dish was the local burrata with pickled green strawberries—it was so fresh and delicious, allowing each ingredient’s natural flavor to really shine.

Amazing local food! Especially loved the smoked trout dip, the Chanterelle toast(one of the best things I’ve ever eaten), and the Summer Risotto! Great spot to bring your kids so you and your partner can enjoy dinner while the kids get to run around! Can’t wait to go back.

Delicious food beautifully presented. Turned out much better than I expected for a last minute dinner stop in the middle of the wilderness. I would come back here to eat again if in the area.

We had high hopes for dinner at the Shandaken Inn, especially considering all the positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. When we arrived for our 7:00 PM reservation, we noticed that a couple with a 7:30 reservation was seated ahead of us. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes to be seated, which set a frustrating tone for the evening.

We started with the Cheese Raclette as an appetizer, which was delicious. However, when we asked the wait staff about the pearls on the cheese (which looked like caviar), no one seemed to know what they were. After some confusion, we found out they were mustard seeds. Despite the lack of knowledge from the staff, the dish itself was very good.

For our main courses, we ordered the Pork Shoulder Ragu and the Chicken Milanese. The pasta was extremely spicy and completely inedible—no one at the table could eat it. The Chicken Milanese was equally disappointing. It was overly seasoned, overcooked, and extremely dry, making it just as inedible as the pasta.

When our waiter noticed we hadn’t eaten the food, we politely mentioned that the ragu was too spicy. He graciously took it off the bill, which we appreciated, but it didn’t make up for a ruined meal. I really wanted to love this place, but we left hungry and disappointed.

Super cute place. Good food at decent prices. Played pool, had dinner, and played scrabble by the fireplace.

This restaurant has the best rabbit dish I’ve ever had. I hope they serve rabbit regularly, because it was so well made, I want to be able to have it again. It was stewed and served over papardelle pasta, and it was so tender and juicy. Rabbit can tend to be dry, but this was not at all. The cocktails are wonderful, and the beet salad was almost too pretty to eat. The vibe is relaxed and quiet. I would definitely come back again in warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor seating.
