Best falafel I’ve ever had. Very friendly proprietor! The food was excellent, fresh, flavorful, really top tier. Also inexpensive. There’s no vibes here, but that’s sorta charming. It’s in the basement of an office building, tucked away. Maybe call in advance if you’re in a hurry. I’d love to have a lunch spot this delicious near me. I’d suggest getting take out, unless you’re into hanging out in office building basements. It’s not bad, it’s clean, but go for the food not the atmosphere.

Probably best falafel I’ve ever had. I love falafel and as soon as I saw these I thought, these don’t look right. Then I took a bite and realized every other falafel I’ve had has been wrong. They were so light, crispy. I ordered the spicy ones and they were delicious. I also got the grilled chicken feta platter with tzatziki sauce. Every bit of it was delicious The chicken, feta spread, rice was all excellent.
This is a tiny cafeteria like setup in a corporate building on Wolf Rd. I initially thought the address was wrong and gave up. But then I saw the business name on the sign along with the others in the building. Small mom and pop shop (literally), owners were super friendly. Not the fastest service. They seemed a little stressed trying to keep up with the lunch rush at 12:30 but nothing major. There’s a few tables across the hall to eat in. I took mine to go. Will 100% be back. I did notice some people ordered ahead and picked up. This might be the move going forward.

Wow! Authentic falafel is hard to find. This cafe is cute, and the food is great. Generous portions and friendly couple that runs it. Most of the food is fresh and they take a lot of pride in handmaking traditional Egyptian food. Will definitely visit here any time I am in Albany.

What a cute and hidden find! It’s in a run of the mill office building on Wolf Road but anyone can go in. I only knew about it because I had read a review about it on the Times Union. There were 2 people working, I’m guessing husband and wife, and they were so friendly. The prices are so reasonable that I ordered 3 things for my husband and I to share. We got a beef gyro with fries, a large garden salad with gyro meat and a sampler platter, which came with 4 stuffed grape leaves (meat or not), 2 falafel (spicy or not), a garden and a feta salad and a scoop or hummus with pita bread. The gentleman also insisted I take a cup of lentil soup. Everything was delicious! While it’s not a place you want to go and sit down to eat, I will absolutely return for more take out.

This is a hidden gem, nestled inside what is clearly an office building you would usually visit to see a dentist or an insurance company. There, tucked into a space that was probably once a gift shop, is a delightfully cozy and eclectic grill run by a kind couple.
The falafels are the size of cake donuts. The gyros are delicious, with fresh tzatziki sauce, fresh made hummus, great veggies. The baklava came in paired triangles of heaven. Hand-cut french fries, regular specials, and very reasonable prices make the brief wait absolutely worthwhile.
Sure, there’s no real sign outside. Sure, parking is a huge rando lot, and you almost feel like you are plunging into a 90s corporate labyrinth as you walk into the building. If you show up at noon, rather than 11, you are going to stand there, waiting with the rest of the building’s lunch rush, contemplating “why there is a statuette of Horus next to a statuette of Mary?”
You are going to forget all of that as you luxuriate in the flavors of those fries, as you savor that baklava, as you tuck into that gyro. You’re going to instead ask why you never came here before and when are you coming back.

everything is incredible and so affordable. the owners are the sweetest and gave us grilled eggplant and peppers from their own garden!! good vegan options if you ask for something without dairy and meat. the falafel, hummus, koshari, meats, sauces, grilled veggies…EVERYTHING is full of flavor! + prices are in a previous decade. I would be here everyday if I didn’t live far away.

Great little hidden gem that is well worth a visit. This cafe is in an office building. It’s at the far end of the first floor when coming in from Wolf Road. The could who run it could not be more friendly. The falafel and sampler platter are delicious. They have great great leaves – both veggie and meat varieties. The falafel are always made fresh by hand and are truely unique. They also have more traditional lunch foods and serve breakfast. Didn’t miss the baklava. They also do catering. They have a little place to sit across from the cafe. Great value!

Hands down the best falafel I’ve ever had! These perfectly crispy yet fluffy, herby and aromatic discs of fried goodness are worth every penny! The beef gyro was flavorful too, and the koshari is definitely worth a try! The tomato sauce that comes with the koshari makes for an amazing flavor combo. Everything was made fresh to order, and the owners are super friendly and kind as well! Truly a hidden gem

This place is incredible. It is family run and everything is homemade. It was all so absolutely delicous. Every French fry was crispy and perfect. The woman handed me a hot falafel ball to nosh on as she was making our wraps. So sweet! The fafafel balls are made from scratch to order. The man gave us free soup. Very affordable prices. I will be back! Thank you!!
