Our story began in 2008 inside a 160sq ft drive – thru in Beaverton, Oregon. Founded by family, rooted in hospitality, and driven by a desire to bring light to the grey PNW mornings, we set out to build something simple but meaningful – a place where coffee could fuel connection.

Unfortunately it has been getting worse and I’m done. When this place opened up it was great. But the place has declined for bad service and quality of menu drinks. First thing is that the not all the workers are knowledgeable about making the drinks on the menu. Next the workers are understaffed. Workers are taking orders for walk in orders, online orders and drive through orders then they are required to make drink orders. The workers look confused about what they should do next. Make drinks or take orders. The drink counter is a mess due to the confusion of numerous customer orders previously made. The last at least four times I had to bring my drink orders back to the counter because they were not made correctly. That’s even after waiting up to 45 minutes before receiving the order the first time. Management needs to hire more staff, training so the staff is knowledgeable about the menu and how to prepare the drinks. Management needs to take a hard look at what’s going on or this location will fail. The Maverick gas station has great coffee and I will go there for great service great coffee and food. Black Rock has failed on several occasions for me and I am done.

Usually they are great! Blender has been broken for months… I miss the Irish coffee blended owner reached out, trying to make it right by giving me something free. I appreciate that but the website looked sketch, If you can just fix the blender or replace it. Im sure your customers and staff would appreciate it.

We frequent this location several times a week. Service is always fast & friendly! Excited the parking lot got a makeover. They open up the front of the store when the weather is nice. We appreciate the team here!

I visited this Black Rock Coffee Bar for the first time this week. I ordered a hot pumpkin blondie and it tasted great! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be going back. The only negative is the lack of parking. There are only a few spots available if you want to go in and have your drink inside.

I’m a huge fan of the Mexican Mocha and was so excited to find a Black Rock Coffee in Colorado. The staff were very friendly, the lobby is welcoming. I ordered the blueberry muffin, heated and it was a little drier than I would have expected. I guess I was a little spoiled by the coffee cake muffins at Black Rock in Texas.

The gentleman that took my order was rude when I asked him if the ice was crushed in the chiller drink he responded with a smart comment. Once I received my drink I noticed there was no whipped cream in it. I went up and asked the girl behind the counter why there was no whipped cream in it she said you have to request it. I said why do I need to request it when it’s in the picture? She responded with we just market it that way and none of the drinks come with it. You need to request it and was rude as hell. How are you going to Market something and show it with whipped cream and then deliver it without?

The staff are so kind even when they are slammed. They always have a sufficient amount of employees working (whenever I go, anyway) and they’re quick with your order whether you’re picking up your online order or placing it in store.
You have everyone from people quietly working, high school kids stopping by during their lunch, or just friends wanting to hang out. Great atmosphere and always good music!
