Spin & Savor is a fun experience. Especially if you are short on time, I’d recommend this restaurant, because the food is so fast! You can order entrees or apps on the iPad at the table, and it comes out very quickly on a fun little robot plate. Or, you can take whatever dishes you’d like from the conveyor belt—sushi, kimchi, seaweed salad, peanuts, edamame, donuts, etc.

The hana sushi roll was delicious, and the angry dragon roll was pretty good as well but the hana was our favorite. We enjoyed the pork dimsum and soft beef rice noodle rolls. The egg tart was nice, pretty sweet. The golden lava buns have delicious hot runny custard (salted egg custard but it’s more sweet than salty) and a lovely soft bun texture.

The place has lovely decor and oriental music playing, and helpful staff service. We came around 7:45pm and it wasn’t crowded, no wait.

I think if we came here starving, we would’ve quickly racked up a high bill just to fill up, but with a medium appetite this was an awesome place to try and share a few different things!

The food here is really good, with a wide variety to what they serve. Staff is always friendly and quick to help (plus the robot cat that brings you things). I love the concept of the conveyor belt with small portions and the motorized platform that brings you your food. Overall, a great experience.

Came here during the soft opening and the place was packed! Our food arrived quickly and it super fresh and piping hot! My favorites were the egg yolk buns, sesame balls and the pan fried stuffed eggplant. Great service and delicious food. The interior looks very modern as well. Staff is very friendly and attentive. We’ve been waiting for a good sit down dim sum place and are so happy there finally is one! I loved it so much that I brought my husband and his grandma to try it out the following weekend and they loved it too. Grandma was super excited and happy to be eating delicious, authentic dim sum. The chef has worked in NYC dim sum restaurants for 30 years so it’s amazing that he’s come all the way here to work in ROC! I love the rotating sushi as well. You’ll see that everything is massive with very generous portion sizes that are sure to fill you up with leftovers to bring home. Prices are also very reasonable. Definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you enjoy sushi and dim sum!

This was the first time trying this restaurant out and we love it there! I had won a free VIP dinner for two there and my husband and I were very excited to try it out. They serve sushi and dim sum on a rotating belt that has different small plates to try. Each plate is a different color and price. There is a card that tells you how much each color plate costs. They keep track of how many plates eaten and how much and you can see the total on the tablet at your table. That makes it nice so that your not surprised at the end and see your bill. When you walk in you are greeted and then sat down at a table. The manager is super friendly and explained how you order on the tablet and that you just take what ever you want to try off the rotating belt. He had many suggestions and always went around and checked on everyone. My husband and I were very pleased with the food and service! We will definitely be back!

Overall the food is ok/average, not mind blowing. I like the concept of buying half rolls off the conveyor belt so you can try different rolls. We mainly went for the dim sum, but it was disappointing; sushi average. The Chow Fun and Pineapple Fried Rice was good.

Spin and Savor was excellent!
They had a great selection of sushi and small plates on the conveyor belt, as well as dim sum dishes and other appetizers to order. Everything was reasonably priced, and tasted great. Staff were nice and friendly.

I highly recommend the stuffed eggplant, pickled vegetables, taro dumplings, and piggy custards

Oh, where do I even begin? This place isn’t just a restaurant it’s an underwater love affair with flavor. The uni? Liquid gold. Creamy, fresh, and ocean-kissed like it was plucked straight from Poseidon’s treasure chest. And the fish? Baby, it’s melt-in-your-mouth magic served right on the bone, so tender and delicate you’d swear you were dining in the sea, waves whispering in your ear.

Every bite is like a passport to the coastlines of Japan, and the service? Let’s just say Michelin stars are probably jealous. They treat you like royalty without the stiffness warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate. It’s not just dinner; it’s an experience that floats somewhere between heaven and high tide. Truly, out of this world and beyond.

So fun and delicious!! There are a ton of different standard and unique sushi options, side dishes, desserts, plus dim sum options for non seafood people. Very reasonable prices and food made to order comes out quick.

Went at lunchtime on a weekday — myself a sushi eater dining with a dumpling/dim sum eater. We both left delighted.

The variety of dishes far exceeded what I’ve seen at other Rochester revolving sushi restaurants. Numerous varieties of nigiri sushi, and maki rolls were not overwhelmingly centered around crab stick or shrimp tempura, which is a disappointing trend in other similar places.

Everything was very fresh, and the sauces were notably flavorful. All this and also reasonably affordable!

Our server was friendly and attentive, though the restaurant wasn’t very busy.

Always a favorite spot. Can’t decide between Japanese sushi and Chinese dim sum? Refuse to choose and go to Spin & Savor.
