Once we sat down we was greeted by our server, Tom, who was one of the best servers I have ever had at a restaurant! He sorted the kids out with their drink, got them their toy and kept on top of my wifes soda refills – many of the time before she even got to the bottom of her drink! I was talked into (fairly easily I guess) into getting a cocktail… and later also a second…! We was very impressed, when he acted on my son telling him it was ‘nearly’ his bday by popping a candle in his milkshake as an its almost your birthday treat! Couldnt fault the chap, he was very on the ball!
Thankfully food was also excellent, and I had tried the Halloween burger special (to go with the Halloween cocktail!), kids went with pizza, and my wife went with ribs.
We had a great experience here – I suspect the kids will want to return, and based on this experience I probably wont be stopping them!
This is an experience in itself to see a ton of memorabilia on Rock & Roll. The atmosphere and decoration is really grand. This is clearly one of the HRC flagships in the world.
The food is also really good and tasty. It is the usual American staple but still really great. As usual too this is probably in London one of the best place for service as the staff tries to make your experience unique and enjoyable. Great experience overall!
Delicious food (bowl with salmon).
Thank you – you made my day. ♂️
After 35mins with a very hungry 4 year old, I questioned if the table was ready, as ‘walk-ins’ that came in after us had already been seated, and the waitress asked what name the table was in, but I explained that they hadn’t asked for our name. Quite simply, I don’t think we were put in the booking system at all and we were forgotten about. I was told the table was being made up for us now – no apology, nothing. Even the bar lady asked us why we hadn’t been seated at a table yet!
We were seated soon after that, and our waiter at the table was good, but was often gone for long periods of time, so we couldn’t get any extras we wanted. After he cleared our plates, we waited for 15 mins with no one around to order a dessert for our son. We decided to leave it and paid and left.
The food itself was ‘OK’. But for £90 for a kids hot dog, 2 X chicken strips and chips, plus soft drinks – this was not great.
£12.95 for a kids meal, which was only a main course (they did not include the drink and charged us extra which we found out afterwards) was extortionate, and when asked for the toy advertised, he said ‘We haven’t been affiliated with Messi for months, so we haven’t had the toys for some time now’ – just why was it being advertised to include one then, when the menu was a simple printed piece of paper that could be altered easily?!
The place lacked atmosphere that other HRCs have that we have been to across the world (including the other London one) and it was quite simply, disappointing from start to finish. I wish we hadn’t bothered.
There are so many better places to eat in London, with better food, service and better value for money. Please don’t waste your time!
Don’t miss The Vault – entered it few years back though
Got myself some ‘been there done that’ momentoes..
Keep rocking guys!!
