I told them i’m here for the papusas lol and he was confident they are amazing and tasteful. He was very accommodating and the food was quick!
My papusas finally came out and WOW!!!! the best part about their papusas is their bread is thin and you can taste more of the pork & cheese 🙂
I will be back! I highly recommend everyone to try this local spanish restaurant. even if you never tried a papusas, GO!!!!!!! you won’t be disappointed 🙂
Please support this business and i challenge you to review and tell me if you disagree. Go hard, don’t hold back, because that’s how Pedro will grow and get better.
i just realized i haven’t actually reviewed the food—
i got the regular chicken burrito (with everything). The blend of ingredients and presentation were great, a la american diner. He added guacamole (strong but not overpowering) and the black beans complimented the white rice (i usually go with pinto beans because black beans are easy to mess up). i tasted sour cream, which i personally don’t like, but he put in just enough for taste but not overindulge (which, again, is easy to overdo, imho). The chicken was grilled in what appeared to be a hard-press (there’s a more technical term i can’t remember right now where you simply put the meet on a press to carmelize the top).
the tortilla seemd to have been pressed as well, giving it that crunchy sound and taste without compromising the texture of rhe redt of the ingredients.
i am amazed with the care he gave this burrito. admittedly, it’s difficult to do this en masse, but nowadays it’s rare regardless of the circumstances.
the queen of this ensemble is the sauce. i haven’t seen such an arrangement before and Pedro himeelf confirmed it’s been a lifelong process. It’s bomb. Like bombay bomb. It’s amazing and just such a balanced blend. A bit on the spicy side of things, for those who might be sensitive, but those with a ‘mexican/indian tolerance’ for spice will find it to be just right.
Please support this business. Again, as someone who has traveled around the world a bit, this place has now got a regular customer. i hope the rest of my journey goes as well as this first meal has been. Thank you, Pedro.
