The fries are seasoned, coated, and fried. No boring fries here. I also tried a cup of the clam chowder, which was hot, chunky, and not too watery. It could be a bit thicker, but it’s still satisfying.
The dining area is clean and features a few tables, making it a cozy space overall. The decor could use more character, though. I think brightening the walls and adding some art, similar to what is done in the other locations, will make it feel more inviting and better fit the coastal mood.
The service was okay on the first visit, but on the second visit, the staff who helped me were friendly and attentive. My food also came out promptly.
Although a bit pricey, the quality is decent for a local fast casual spot. I’ll probably be back if the cravings hit.
That said, the service is very no-nonsense. Don’t even think about asking for small menu tweaks—like mixing lobster and shrimp tacos in one order. The response is a firm (and loud) no. What’s on the menu is what you get, period.
Not ideal, but honestly, that kind of attitude comes with the territory at some spots. If you go in knowing that and focus on the food, you’ll leave happy and full.
We came specifically for their Lobster Mac n’ Cheese but they didn’t have it available because the “recipe was being modified” per the cashier.
We opted for the Lobster Sandwhich and the Fish n’ Chips. Both came with fries which were DELICIOUS. But there were more fries than the main course.
Lobster Sandwhich was “Ok.” It’s missing something. I think it should be served with melted salted butter. That’d really take it to the next level.
Just my opinion.
We also tried their grilled shrimp which were very good also.
We’ll be back to try their lobster Mac n’ cheese. Hopefully it’s available.
Regarding potential enhancements, we suggest considering options that highlight buttery bread or butter-based preparations for lobster or crab dishes, while also ensuring a lighter hand with onions. Generous portioning of meat was highly commendable and appreciated. The aioli was exceptional.
***Lobster grilled cheese – this was recommended by our cashier and server Maddy, (whom was awesome and provided 5 star service)
the lobster grilled cheese was perfect, the blend of cheeses was melted beautifully into the sourdough bread with a nice crunch and paired wonderfully with the tomato bisque. She said it was made from scratch and I could definitely taste it. We really enjoyed also how tender the lobster meat was in this, which she said they only do for the grilled cheese, tacos, and quesadillas. Yum!
***soft shelled crab sandwich – the last time my husband and I had soft shelled crab was in NYC. This was such a treat. The crab is battered and fried lightly and put into a burger style sandwich with a really tasty aioli. I think they called it bang bang something. It also came with fries!!! Such a great deal for only $16!
***old bay cheese fries – we wanted to do some fries as we didn’t realize the soft shell crab came with fries, and tried these ones which she said were really good. Wow! they toss the fries in old bay for this, and pour cheese sauce and shredded cheese plus some green onions. We will definitely get this again soon.
***and finally, the calamari fries — was expecting fried calamari, but these were literally calamari FRIES. So yummy! nice and crispy, and very delicious. a must try for sure.
overall we will return to try more from their menu, and left very impressed with what we did try. the place was so clean and the staff was so friendly. they have only been open for a few days so don’t be shy and stop in to ask them questions and try some of their pretty affordable and tasty options.
