This is the best restaurant in Killeen. Aunty Mimis Kitchen is a hidden gem with rich, authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away.
The food is well seasoned, bold, and clearly made with care, with generous portions that are absolutely worth the price. Whether you’re new to African cuisine or already a fan, the dishes are balanced, satisfying, and full of depth without being overwhelming.
The staff is friendly and patient, happy to explain menu options, and the space is clean and comfortable for a relaxed meal. Overall, it’s a solid spot for quality African food in Killeen and definitely worth coming back to.

Very friendly people and atmosphere. The restaurant has a wind down vibe and is very relaxing. I came here with my girlfriend and we had never tried African food before. Our waiter walked us through the menu and suggested things based on what we normally liked. The food was amazing. A wonderful introduction to African food. We will definitely be back again.

We ordered Egusi, seafood Okra & Afang with pounded yam. My daughter & I enjoyed everything, although some of the meat was a bit tough, but all 3 soups were very flavorful. Be ready to wait a while as the food is cooked to order, therefore, fresh.
They are always welcoming & the music makes you want to get up and dance!
So glad to have this restaurant not far from my home…

This is the type of the food where if you take one bite you automatically start doing the little dancy dance. Lol. The service was AMAZING! Food came out hot and fresh! She was so wholesome. I’m so sad to finally find a place that remind me so much of home to then have to move. I would 100% recommend! Everything tasted excellent! I couldn’t wait to get home, i kept eating it on the drive home lol it was that good! I melted! I started dancing in my car.

I got their fufu and egusi with goat meat and loved it, just wished the meat wasn’t too tough to chew. Customer service was great, she was so kind and friendly. Wait time for the food wasn’t too bad , I’ll definitely be coming back again 😉

I had the egusi with Beef. I couldn’t finish my dish. It could have been me, but the beef in the dish had a strong smell—like very farmy. Maybe I’m not used to fresh meat, but I couldn’t stomach the taste.
My sister ordered the okra soup with seafood. It was delicious. We finished her dish.
