We came here for dinner with friends and had a great experience! The Hainan chicken rice was flavorful and the roasted pork knuckle was a highlight—crispy outside, tender inside. The boss was super friendly and even came over to chat with us, which made us feel very welcomed. Only small thing was the broccoli was a bit too salty, but overall everything tasted amazing. Definitely coming back again. Highly recommend!

The food here is decently priced, with some dishes able to feed more than one person. I noticed that most dishes are cooked similarly to a type of Chinese cuisine, which I don’t know the name of, so if you like one dish, you’ll likely enjoy other options here. But, note that there are different dishes, like the Korean kimchi fried rice or Pad Thai, cooked in that way and are not authentic per se, but enjoyable if you like the restaurant’s taste.
I ordered E3 Pad Thai, A1 Secret Hainanese chicken rice, and E7 Special eel with garlic butter rice. The total cost was about $50. The Hainanese chicken rice was alright, but I didn’t like the texture, and the chicken didn’t taste particularly fresh. It’s not my favorite Hainanese chicken in the city, but it’s serviceable. The Pad Thai was more savory with a strong curry flavor, though I had expected it to be slightly sweet like what I’ve had at Thai restaurants. The eel was tender and went well with the rice, but it wasn’t what I expected. The rice had corn and egg, making it feel like fried rice.
The food was decent for the price, considering that some dishes had larger portions. If coming here, I recommend getting the claypot rice instead! It seems to be made fresh on order with delicious, crunchy, scorched rice underneath.

I am genuinely surprised at the high rating for this place. Maybe I went on a bad day, I don’t know. The food was very mediocre. We ordered BBQ pork and roasted duck over rice. The meat we received were mostly fat and bones. And the roasted duck was cold. COLD! Like just came out of the fridge cold. I had to ask the waitress to bring it back to heat it up. The sautéed greens were too oily and over cooked, none of that fresh, crisp, watery yummy vege you expect from a good Asian restaurant. Quite disappointed as I love Cantonese food.

I’m Cantonese and it’s hard to find authentic Cantonese food now a day…and found it tonight. The salted chicken (盐焗手撕鸡) was exactly like those I had growing up in Guangzhou; the stir-fried veggies with lard residue was perfectly seasoned; smoked pork hock was freshly made and crispy; special eel with garlic butter rice was surprisingly tasty too. 10/10 will come here again.

Super good. I ordered Hainanese chicken, wow the taste was so flavorful, a great mix of freshness and chewy experience. The restaurant seems like family owned and everyone was friendly. Also don’t forget to check out their herbal tea, so nicely brewed.

Worst Hainan chicken rice ever. They didn’t even include any sauce with it. The rice turned cold and hard after just a 15-minute drive home.
