This is kind of like Asian chipotle mixed with sushi. It’s reasonably quick Japanese food, and it’s in line with others in the chain.

My dining companion really wanted a tuna and avocado roll, and you would have thought by the staff’s reaction that she was asking for a taco, they were so confused. Maybe that was a language barrier?

Poke bowls were fine, though the person assembling them had no idea where any of the ingredients were among the many covered tubs, and each one took around 10 min, which was frustrating. Mangos were soaking in water and were super mealy. Some of the fountain sodas were all syrup and no soda.

Chicken tasted good and was seasoned well. Vegetables and rice was okay. By the end i was eating rice. A bit more chicken and veg would’ve been better.

With all the options in this area for sushi, do not waste your time, money or hunger on this place. Sushi was ok at best. Very bland and poorly made with bad presentation. My Rock n Roll specialty roll was not spicy and looked horrible. It tasted bland and like a spoonful of mayonnaise. My wife’s bowl tasted like nothing. Bad food with high price.

I witnessed a roach crawling near the food area, an employee immediately threw it to the floor and I was surprised he touched the food after with their bare hands as if nothing was wrong. This is a serious health hazard. On top of the hygiene issues, customer service was nonexistent. The cashier had earphones in and made me repeat my question three times just to get her attention. Finally, the food itself was subpar, and all the fountain beverages were flat. Management urgently needs to address the staff training and sanitation practices here.

Never coming back again.

Have been looking for a poke place in south alexandria / belle haven area!! Always nervous trying a new place when raw fish involved but was pleasantly suprised/ impressed with fish & topping portions and salmon quality. Didnt love the style/flavor of the crab protein but everything else was great. Love that you can order poke bowl with brown rice + salad. Will be back! Shrimp tempura and yummy sauce also were good.

Been here twice so far. Compared to ALL sushi/hibachi options, probably not the prime choice. Not comparing that, it’s a decent choice that’s relatively quick and decently priced.

The poke bowls are good and have a decent amount of options for $15 or less. The hibachi for a chain-type food, is solid. I will complain that my chicken hibachi didn’t come with veggies, because I guess I have to specify that though the menu says “Comes with mixed vegetables, rice or noodles”. I checked online and the menu allows for as I thought, mixed vegetables AND a choice of rice or noodles so I guess I have to say veggies explicitly. Anyways, the chicken was crispy on the outside but very soft on the inside, almost possibly undercooked but it looked fine.

It’s hard to see but I believe every hibachi order is made to order rather than a big batch, so you will wait at least the time needed to cook, but it’s fresh. The portions don’t seem what I’d call generous, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing in terms of personal health, but reduces value. There is a hibachi buy 5 get 1 free rewards program with a physical card.

I ordered a plate of hibachi chicken with noodles and found a caterpillar at the bottom of my plate. I did not see it until I ate almost all of my food, so everything that I ate had been mixed in with and touched by the caterpillar. I have no idea how a caterpillar got in the food, but It was clearly cooked with the food, because it was dead, covered in oil, and mixed in with the noodles. Therefore everything else was contaminated, including the food that was being cooked for other costumers. When I showed one of the employees the caterpillar on my plate, they did not say anything or offer to give me a refund, they just took the plate with the caterpillar on it. I usually never like to leave bad reviews, but finding a caterpillar in my food was gross and completely ruined the experience of eating the food. This is a health risk, I would avoid coming here.

It’s really good for the price and it’s a ton of food. I can’t say the quality of the sushi is awesome but if you’re comparing price point to quality, it’s far above what you’re paying for.

Great food. Quick service. It’s a fast food type resturant concept, but the dinning room is comfortable, modern and clean. The food is very good. They have a small menu; sushi and stir fry.

Got about 1/4 of the way through a poke bowl before I realized the tuna was rancid. Pretty sure its restaurant 101 to not serve rancid food. Should be shut down. Hope I don’t have food poisoning, and wish I had checked the other reviews first, because it seems others have had similar experiences.
