Waited over an hour for our food. 4 groups came and left while we waited. Our server told us to “settle down the food is coming” when someone said they were hungry. She acted like nothing happened when she clearly forgot to put our food in. I would have expected a comp of some sort for the long wait. No apologies were made.

So many positives and zero negatives… Start with “clean place.” Very clean. Was not expecting a Wisconsin tavern to be this clean! New OWNERS are very young and talented I will come back just to cheer them on. Food was amazing, 10 of us came in for lunch and Lisa the Bartender took our order quickly and the food came out just as fast. My favorite might be the homemade blue cheese dressing! What? Homemade.? Yes, what a treat. Everybody loved the food and the inside is a wonderful display of wildlife, tastefully arranged … Solid 5 Stars.

I drove up to Cable, Wisconsin & got a chance check out Pioneer Bar. I’m glad I did. The staff is as welcoming as any I’ve encountered anywhere, and the food was AWESOME! I had steak & eggs; turned out it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had.

We tried a blue cheese burger and a grilled chicken sammie. The food was great. This was our first time here and received friendly service. Great bar in Northern Wisconsin. We will certainly be back to visit.

The bartender, long black/brown hair is extremely nice. It wasn’t an inconvenience to collect our money from her when we won money at the machine. Once she did wait on me she handed me the money and congratulated me, I bought the bar a round with the winnings. I run a business myself and I wish I could hire her on the spot, she is very polite and extremely out going, easily one of the best bartenders who have served me!!!!
