I ordered one house special fried rice, one chicken, fried rice, and one house special chow mein. I always buy from this location and they knew I wanted the noodles with the Bronx sauce. They give me some kind of strip vegetable and chicken with white rice and telling me that’s lo mein or chow mein. I’m not a stupid person. I know what lo mein is, and they trying to convince me and tell me if I don’t want it to throw it away I would highly recommend not going there. The lady the Chinese lady she’s nasty and rude and I want a general public of Lancaster city and Pennsylvania to know of this restaurant. It’s called China House restaurant. No good.

This review is for China House located on Fruitville Pike in Lancaster, PA . I ordered a take-out of rice and vegetables with shrimp. My meal is absolutely delicious! I’m writing this review because of how fresh, crisp, and flavorful the vegetables are – they are not overcooked and soft. Staff was very pleasant and the restaurant was very neat and clean. I will be returning.

The lady at the register is extremely rude, she has poor customer service. I have been there 3 other time, and its the same. One time when I was there waiting 3 other people was complaining about her, she never listen to your order and the order is always incorrect for me, this time again I said not spicy only to get home, and hot peppers was everywhere, some people can’t eat spicy food it makes them sick. I will never do business with them anymore, as long as she is there, and im not sure what kind of meat they are using. Its ashamed the usa allow anything in this country…I am puss off and still hungry. I paid $14 for food to throw in the trash.

The food was decent. Not the best I’ve ever had but for sure not the worst. Prices are right on, not expensive but I wouldn’t say cheap. Portions are fairly large. I am giving it 4 stars just because it could have had more flavor.
I got it to go but the inside seating area was typical. Nothing stood out to me as gross, just a typical strip mall Chinese joint.

Thus place NEVER fails us! And I swear recently (over the past 8 months) the food has gotten even better!! I wanted to take a picture of these amazing fat stemed dumplings but we couldn’t help it and ate half of them! Lol. Order themmmm!!

We have tried every chinese take out in the lancaster area and China House is by far the best. House fried rice is spot on. We actually order the fried dumplings for dinner parties, a favorite appetizer!

Ordered general tso’s chicken with reg. Noodles for my 11yr old son yesterday. This ended in me driving to hospital after taking 1 bite of meat. He is allergic to peanuts and immediately started feeling his throat itching, chest pain and unable to swallow. I was so upset, allergens should be listed on menu items including common allergens. We’ve ordered before this same meal from other places and never had an issue. We stopped here because we went to Walmart after a game and he was hungry.
Would never order from them or recommend to anyone.
