This Filipino restaurant was delicious. We are from the Bay Area and have had many good restaurants to eat at in San Francisco and Daly City. This matched that very well. Meals are huge and well prepared and served.

This was my first experience with true Filipino cuisine, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The food was phenomenal.
It’s a small, cozy spot with only six tables inside, so space is limited. Normally it’s first come, first served, but I highly recommend checking their website for reservation information. If you can snag a table inside, great—but they also have a few outdoor tables on the sidewalk, which are a nice option.
There were five of us in our party, and we ordered a variety of dishes so we could try a little of everything. Every single dish was outstanding. We even shared bites from each other’s plates, and there wasn’t a single miss.
You have to try the ube (purple) drink—it was incredible and something I’d go back for alone. Portions are generous, so expect to take food home. The coconut rice was also excellent and paired perfectly with the dishes.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and we had a great time overall.
Parking can be a bit of a challenge—there isn’t much right in front. You can park behind the restaurant if space is available, or find street parking nearby and walk a short distance.
If you’re looking to try authentic Filipino food, this place is absolutely worth the effort. I’ll definitely be back.

We were walking to another restaurant when we ran into Estrellita. And I’m so glad we did! The best Filipino food I’ve had in a while! I got the lechón Kawali with coconut rice and salad and it was out of this world! The meat part was juicy and the skin was perfectly crispy. My spouse got lumpias and chicken bbq skewers with rice & fries and that also was very tasty. The food was overall delicious, the place was a bit small inside but definitely worth it!

Ate here 2/20/26 as a birthday treat to myself! I ordered the longanisa, chicken skin, and chicken inasal/ribs combo. The Combo plate can definitely be shared, comes with 2 sides. Everything was so delicious, I almost got full with just my appetizers. Taste is not a fusion, but authentic Filipino flavors!

Loved the food, great value for money and authentic Filipino flavors. We liked the lumpia, longganisa, ribs and lechon kawali. The Ube ice cream to cap it off as well. I wish they had a larger menu but I understand why that’s not practical right now with a small kitchen, hopefully the expand soon!

Absolutely delicious! The service was top tier as well! We decided on a whim to try this place out because I saw it online. Parking was rough but in all fairness, it was around lunch time and there’s lots of businesses in the area so I understand why it was a bit difficult. We walked from about a block and a half away and when we were done eating the street outside the restaurant was completely empty. So we know to go after lunchtime next time! But THE FOOD!!! My husband had the whole branzino and I had the beef short ribs and the half chicken so we could try it! Our daughter had the bbq chicken skewers. We all were extremely impressed with the food! That fish was seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly!! The short ribs were delicious!!!!! The salad that accompanied our meals was deliciously fresh and the dressing was perfect! The chicken….OMG!! That’s it! Just get it!! My daughter enjoyed the bbq skewers too alongside some fries served with banana ketchup! The two gentlemen in the front of the house were absolute gems! We’ve already talked about what we will order next time because we for sure will be back asap! I only took two pictures because my husband had already eaten half the fish by the time I remembered to take one of his meal

Small, compact, restaurant. Food was excellent. Everything on the menu is worthy of tasting should you go with several people, six (6), very hungry people, with varied tastes. Service was excellent, yet unobtrusive.
The adult beverages were very good too!
Comments are for the existing 580 Woodward location.
Excited to hear they are moving to a new, larger location!

Small and quiet restaurant serving authentic Filipino food prepared the way it is back home. The lechon kawali was cooked perfectly. Crunchy skin soft meat, drained perfectly of excess oil, paired with Mang Tomas sauce. Yum! Add the coconut rice and it’s double yum! My husband finished his plate of the tender chicken barbecue and coconut rice (of course!). The service was excellent, attentive and prompt without hovering. Highly recommended.

I was extremely iffy. After all it is a date night so it was new to me. The food is a 10/10 my favorite dish is the Estrella’s Lumpia with homemade banana ketchup (chiefs kiss). Second favorite is the grilled chicken with cava fries. For dessert Ube purple yam ice cream. The ambiance and atmosphere is very nice.
Ask for Aron (waiter) he’s great.

My Filipina gf and I have been wanting to try this place forever and totally regret not trying it sooner. The food is phenomenal and I just had to beg for their sauce recipe, it could not have been more delicious and perfectly balanced. The ube ice cream is an absolute must-have. We will absolutely be here at least weekly in the future.
