Home cooking at it’s best! I absolutely recommend Ray’s Southern Cuisine! Give them a try and when you do, ask for Hannah, she’s a terrific server. I’ll definitely be back….time and again! Yummy! I had pork chops, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. My Mother had meatloaf, turnip greens, and mashed potatoes. My son enjoyed a huge bowl of fresh fruit. The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, the service is top notch, friendly, and fast! You won’t regret checking out Ray’s Southern Cuisine!

This establishment has a lot to offer, I felt at home here, the staff was pleasant and helpful. The menu has something for everyone, with a menu to suit a picky family. Prices are fair and it really feels like home with a home cooked meal!! Definitely recommend stopping here if you’re driving through, it’s the best food in town!

So, we were in town for one night and wanted vegetables and everything else was fast food. It was 730ish when we went, and there were only 2 other tables in there. No workers were in sight, so we seated ourselves. This apparently annoyed our waitress. She didn’t know much about the menu items when we asked questions. I got the grilled pork chop, and it was outstanding! So I know the chef can cook…BUT the vegetable sides were inedible!! No matter how much salt you added, there was no flavor. I’m assuming it all came from a can. Mac& cheese wasn’t even warm. Hubs hamburger steak was tough as nails, and for sure the brown gravy was from a packet. And beware! The cornbread was sweet- if you’re against sugar in your cornbread 😉 waitress never would bring our ticket, so we just stood at the register waiting till she finally came out of hiding in the kitchen. This definitely wasn’t southern cuisine!

Ok. I just tried the Birria Tacos. As someone who lived most of my life with Mexicans I’m VERY picky and judgemental when it comes to Mexican food. Especially when the word authentic is used. The tacos were ok. They were really missing the flavors of the Guajillo and Ancho chilies, the tomato, and cumin that are well known flavors in authentic Mexican dishes such as this one. Mine only had a very tiny piece of lime, less than a teaspoon of Cilantro (that was mostly wilted), and no onion. The consume was more like an american beef stew. I was really hoping they would have more of the authentic flavors that are described in the post. I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and that’s only because I could tell they half a$$ tried. ♀️ Next time try really encorporating the flavors above in the dish, add more Cilantro ( that’s fresh), add onion, and a bigger piece of lime.

This was our second time eating here. Fantastic food and a wonderful server named Hannah. We were on the fence about what to get. Hannah had several great suggestions. We went with the chicken and red velvet waffle. It was really good. We asked for honey mustard for the chicken fingers and it was really yummy too. I really wish I would have gotten a picture of everything. I do have a picture of the shrimp plate from our first visit. I’ll post that. Shrimp, mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. Tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were amazing. On our first visit we had a slight issue and they made everything perfect. Couldn’t possibly ask for a better place to eat. Couldn’t ask for nicer people. The live music was also nice to listen to while we ate. Awesome portions and amazing food. You won’t leave hungry.

Honestly $52 for two meals like this is ridiculous. The food sucked. The meat loaf had tomato sauce on top instead of ketchup and the potato salad and mashed potatoes tasted disgusting as well. NEVER GOING BACK

Horrible service and pork chops were entirely too salty. I was served old MAC and cheese that had set under the warmer to love. While placing my order on the phone the lady taking my order was rude I asked for a baked potato and she said they didn’t have any and I said ok I’ll take mashed potatoes and she smarted of baked potatoes and mashed potato are different. I had to throw away 52.00 worth of food! 50 bucks is hard to come by and I will never eat anything from Rae’s again! Slaw so salty couldn’t eat it. Burnt has puppies!

Previously I gave Ray’s 5 stars. Now I have to go 2.5. It was bland and not very tasty. The hamburger steak was 2 premade patties that looked like bubba burgers. The service was adequate. The place was empty at 5pm. I don’t think we will be back.
