Ordered a cheesesteak. The guy behind the counter was very nice. He took my order then made my food quickly. Got home, the sandwich wasn’t fit to eat. Ended up throwing the whole sandwich away. The meat was mushy and flavorless. For $16.50 they have to do better.

Who leaves a business with a note saying back in Ten minutes. I waited exactly ten minutes but how long was the sign up for? Maybe back before X o’clock would be a better option next time. I truly hope it wasn’t anything serious but damn that disappointed me. I really wanted to try this place.
Edit. Well I returned weeks later to give this place another chance. This time a different sign they are closed. On a Thursday at 1 PM. Maybe it’s a closed business?

Different cheesesteak #1111 in the last five years. The young man behind the counter said they make their own sauce so I got a Pizza Steak. I forgot how I love Pizza Steaks. I also forgot I need chips when I eat a pizza steak. The meat, cheese and sauce were grilled/cooked together very well. Very good amount of cheese. The sauce added very good flavor. The roll has me stumped. It was a good traditional roll. But, I think this pizza steak needed more from the roll. I’ll be back to try the cheesesteak.

The way they advertise the crabs on the radio, I thought they would be good. The man showed me some nice size #2 crabs, but when I got home, they all looked like throw backs . Needless to say, I won’t be going back. Very disappointed

This must have changed hands from the sandwich shop with homemade bread. Gone is the case with different salads and choice of sandwich piled with fresh bread, meat, cheese, and condiments along with a serving of a salad of your choice. The current store has an odor that didn’t smell real good and the only menu was hand written and taped to the counter at the register. The seating area was littered with crates and boxes. We left.

Stopped in after passing by it multiple times. I asked them to make a recommendation and they have a turkey and roast beef combination sandwich. Hands down the portion and taste was the best I’ve ever had and I would recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and I used to come here when it was under the old management…we were disappointed it got new management because we loved the homemade rolls. However after coming here a few times since then, we are still customers! Everytime the subs/cheesesteaks are delicous! Rolls are soft and fresh and I love how they don’t overstuff the subs with lettuce etc. My husband enjoys the mushroom cheesesteaks because they actually cook the mushrooms! The employees working were friendly and brought food out to us and checked on us. Will keep coming here.

Well, disappointing…
Our first visit to Harper’s.
I had the gobbler. The turkey was ok with ample helping but not too flavorful. There was a whisper of cranberry sauce and stuffing which was not enough to help. Roll was ok.
My companion had a cheesesteak, and in contrast said it was very good.
We shared a Joe’s potato chip – bacon n cheddar – it was no bueno! I threw out much of the bag, sadly.
Service was slow. Not all of the tables were available with bread trays sitting on them.
So overall, cheesesteak good, gobbler bad, service meh, we expected a better visit.
Note: this sandwich shop charges 4% if you utilize a credit card, and they invite you to tip although there is not table service provided.
