Celebrating our wedding anniversary we stopped by for dessert after dinner at another restaurant. Our waiter Noah was very personable. The mudslide cheesecake was absolutely amazing!!!!
There’s no prices on the menu for anything so proceed with caution but if the cheesecake tasted that good I can only imagine their dinner items. We walked in, but I’d recommend reservations.

Absolutely divine experience! Even though we were dressed casually, we were treated so wonderfully by our server, who was so kind and helpful! I had the amaretto Creme brûlée which was one of the most heavenly creations I have ever had the pleasure of tasting and a lemon drop that tasted exactly like the hard candy! My mother had the bananas foster bread pudding which also tasted wonderful. This is the perfect spot to relax and cool off after a busy day in downtown Ann Arbor

Such a cool spot in Downtown AA! A little pricey but because it’s attached to the Chop House. Our server Aya was amazing! You have to go through the Chop House doors and the greeters will take you to the cigar area. If you are gluten free they have Crème brûlée and sorbet and Gelato.

Delicious variety of desserts. My favorite was the banana pudding. Really warm center with an outstanding flavour. I would say my second favorite was the creme brulee. Nice amount of sugar at the top and rich vanilla flavour.

Stopped by for dessert after dinner in the area, and I love the dim, casual, laid-back nature of this place!
We tried 3 desserts – the mudslide cheesecake, German chocolate cake, and crème brûlée. All were excellent, but the Mudslide cheesecake was definitely my favorite!
Only drawback of my visit was the service time and lack of attentiveness – we were one of the first tables seated for the evening, but it took ~15 minutes for a server to approach us and another ~25 minutes to grab water and take our order. As more parties came in, it felt like we were less of a priority since we did not order any drinks or cigars.

After a long day of visiting museums, I wanted dessert as we drove back to our hotel. My husband googled dessert places, and found La Dolce Vita. The menu sounded fantastic, so we decided to visit.
This place is huge! It is part of The Chop House, a steak restaurant. You can come in just for dessert. The menu is on a tablet, and if you tap on the description, a photo of the dessert pops up, along with the price. Mind you, this isn’t cheap; dessert for 4 was about $60 with tip, and worth it.
My husband had bananas foster bread pudding; my brother ordered affogato, and his girlfriend had amaretto creme brulee. I ordered German chocolate cake. Everything was absolutely perfect, beautifully presented, and scrumptious. My husband is a pastry chef, and he loved it.
Our server, Jessica, was friendly and warm and hospitable, and deserves praise. It was exactly what we needed at the end of our day. We would definitely return.

My husband and I came here after dinner for something sweet and this place did not disappoint! I had the candy bar pie and he had the German chocolate cake – both were delicious. Beautiful presentation. The service was good and the atmosphere was cozy and romantic. I would definitely recommend coming here for a sweet treat!

The desert was great! I ordered a chocolate decadence. I like to make fancy deserts at home and it was awesome to see different mousses and a ganache come together with a fudgey brownie. The textures were varied from fluffy to dense – and I loved it! I wish there was a more substantial fruit pairing (I think they used to serve this desert with a blackberry sorbet, but now it is just a berry coulis) because the flavors mixed so well. The atmosphere and the seating are also part of the experience. I came early and had my choice of couch, which had a nice view of the fireplace. The only thing that took away from the atmosphere was the manager was talking down to the wait staff right beside me for some time during my visit.
