The overall experience itself wasn’t bad. The waitress was very friendly and polite, the food was on time. All that being said, the food was horrendous. I ordered the lamb, the brie mushroom soup, and the gnocchi. All of them were inedible. The gnocchi was beyond mushy, the lamb was wildly gamey, while being almost raw. The green beans literally crunched when chewed and tasted like the bottom of a freezer. The brie soup was the least of the offenders, but it had zero flavor profile or texture. I will say the bread the served as an appetizer was excellent. Unfortunately I will not be coming back.

Had a group of 12 ladies celebrating a milestone Birthday! Early reservation and nice private table setting. Jordan our personal server was so patient and friendly with us. Each of our orders were correct and prepared to perfection! Our glasses stayed full and plates al cleared quickly. With us being early and dining room empty I was surprised that the chef did not come out to greet or inquire on the meal after us ordering at least one of everything on the menu and two each of desserts. Just would have added to our experience

Tarragon is a real treat! Our food was delicious. I had salmon with fresh asparagus and potato croquettes . Also a fresh greens salad with poached apples, cranberries, toasted pecans and goat cheese . It came with a Blackberry vinaigrette dressing . The view is fantastic. The windows look out over a beautiful wooded area. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive without constantly coming to the table. There are other attractions nearby. We went to the Ohio Star Theater before our dinner and saw a performance of the road to damascus. This is a great place to visit for sure!

Thoroughly enjoyed everything from start to finish! Our server was excellent and so sweet. Our food was delicious, especially the Butternut Squash Bisque which was heavenly! We shared the first course, I had the bisque for second, pork shank for third and lemon cake with strawberry icing for dessert. Highly recommend for a local fine dining experience!

The braised pork shank was excellent paired with the sauerkraut. The meat feel off the bone. So good!

What an experience! Beautiful setting with big windows to enjoy the view. The atmosphere was romantic and classy.

Our server, Gabe, was absolutely fantastic. We asked him for recommendations and his knowledge of the menu was extensive. The food was delicious. Everything was super fresh and tasty.

The Tarragon is not to be missed if you are a guest at the Inn at Honey Run. The atmosphere and food was a perfect complement to a perfect stay. We are already planning our next visit. We ordered the Salmon Avocado Toast and the menu item called “the Usual” breakfast – very enjoyable. The friendly staff was attentive. Enjoy your stay!

While we did not stay at the resort, we wanted a romantic dinner for our Valentine’s Anniversary & Tarragon did not disappoint!
We were greeted by our wonderful server, Jordan, who took such great care of us all night. We started off with the homemade bread & tomato butter with freshly grated cheese…delicious. Our appetizers were the Duck leg confit & the Potato parmesan gnocchi….sublime! Then followed by an unctuous Mushroom & brie soup and I had the Caramelized onion(Vidalia) soup with a cheddar tuile….mmmmm! Then our entrée: a pan seared venison with cranberry compote & a “cab” ribeye….the meats were so tender, like butter!
To finish off our evening(bring your appetite) we devoured the Vanilla bean creme brulee! Chef’s kiss!! Wow!
We are definitely coming back & this time, we’re staying on the property…its stunning!

The service and staff were amazing and the food was so delicious! The restaurant is a great compliment to the Inn. The decor is simple, but flashy isn’t needed when you have the beautiful wooded views to enjoy while dining. We loved our experience!

By far the best restaurant in the state of Ohio, nestled in picturesque Amish Country! We come twice a year and this is the highlight of our trip every time. Such impressive attention to detail, as well as quality of ingredients. 10/10
