Visited Jay Bhavani in Houston and had a good overall experience. The food was decent in taste, and the daal baati was quite tasty, though it didn’t feel completely authentic. That said, it was still enjoyable. The service was good and staff was attentive, which made the visit pleasant. A nice spot if you’re looking for vegetarian Indian street food in the area. Wouldn’t mind visiting again!

We were recommended to come here for the Vada pav and decided to try it on a weekend. We’ve frequented neighboring shiv sagar quite often but never realized that this place was next door. It has all of your typical vegetarian street food cravings and is attached to another restaurant that serves egg based Indian dishes.
The Vada pav was very fresh and tasty, but it could have used a slight more zing
I was surprised to see various Maggie options on the menu and just had to order it. It was so tasty and reminded me of my childhood.
We also had masala dosa, which was crispy, but the masala potato was a bit dry and the sambar and coconut chutney were just a bit off but still enjoyable.
Overall had a good experience

Had amazing food and amazing time here! The food was tasty, and reminded of being in India and eating at JayBhavani. The place is clean, serves good quality food and has a great ambience. Variety of food options, we ordered sandwich, cheese butter masala and garlic naan, sev puri chaat and gotala dosa. Each and every item was outstanding. And the owner and the person who took our order, was very friendly and all the staff was attentive and helpful.
I would recommend it to everyone who wants to have delicious and authentic food. I always keep coming back!

Loved this place!!! I was looking for a place to try vada pav as I’ve never had it before. This was the perfect spot. Our server, Vir, who I think is also the owner, walked us through the menu and made excellent suggestions for us. The Bombay Vada pav was so good! Perfect spice level and excellent bread, which he told us they make in house. We are vegetarian so the whole menu was awesome, but the Eggmania place is actually part of this operation so you can get chicken or egg if you want that. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Jay Bhavani is a haven for lovers of authentic Ahmedabad-style Vadapav. During my visit in the last week of April 2024, I had the pleasure of indulging in their Butter Cheese Vadapav, which was undoubtedly the best I’ve tasted outside of India. Alongside this culinary delight, I also sampled their Paneer Roll and Egg Paplet, both of which were equally delicious.
The restaurant shares its space with Eggmania, offering options for both vegetarians and eggetarians. This dual concept ensures that everyone can find something to savor. The ambience of Jay Bhavani is inviting, providing a comfortable setting to enjoy their flavorful offerings.
One unique aspect of the decor is the inclusion of comic lines related to eggs, displayed in picture frames throughout the restaurant. These humorous touches added to the overall experience, eliciting smiles from patrons.

We ordered Vada Pao JB style, Pao bhaji and burger to start with. Vada Pao was decent, pao bhaji was quite average but I really like the burger which is your typical North Indian street style. I’ll definitely visit this place again for its burger.

The food was average. We ordered bhel, vadapav, and veg kadai. The bhel had a mild taste and felt quite bland, the veg kadai was just okay, but the vadapav was absolutely horrible! The service was extremely slow, despite it being a Saturday afternoon with only 2-3 occupied tables.
