We visited tailgate for the first on our first visit to north Myrtle Beach. Robert & Jack to all the staff made us feel like family!! After our second night in a row, they send us home with shrimp salad & claim chowder!! Now we can say we’ve tried everything on the menu!! Come for the fresh oysters, king crab legs , clams & we tried the cheese burger too!! We are from south Texas so fresh oysters we know!! Tailgate didn’t disappoint from the fresh sea food to the cleanliness of the restaurant! The owner & his wife are truly awesome !! This was a 10 ! thank you Robert for our awesome experience!!!

Go for the oysters. Other stuff is decent but the oysters are great. Service is always good. Restaurant does fill up fast though, so if you don’t want to wait or if you want your pick of seating arrive 15 minutes before opening.

Their oysters and shrimp are incredible. They have a variety of other things as well. They’re clam chowder was as good as well. The staff is friendly and attentive an added to the entire dining enjoyment. They are located in the middle of Cherry Grove Beach in a very easy place to get to. I highly recommend them; my entire family has been there in the last 3 weeks

Had a wonderful casual dinner with family here. We ordered the smash cheese burger that was wonderfully seasoned. We also got the shrimp and oysters, all delicious! The owner and the servers were very sweet as well. We will be coming back for sure!

Amazing oysters & shrimp. Super fresh, staff is awesome – you can tell they honestly love working there. Overall immaculate vibes. A place for everybody. Pie was FIRE! a little sweet, a little tart, just perfect. Weird hours but I personally appreciate that. They do what they want and either you patron them or you don’t – love a confident DGAF business. (def recommend you go during the few hours a week they are open – no regrets)

Hidden seafood-lovers gem in NMB… This was our first visit but won’t be our last! Unassuming outside, fun vibe inside with excellent live music. Very clean. Food was fast and delicious. The staff was so genuine and friendly. Got pie to go and they even sent us home with a can of whipped cream! Will definitely be one of our “spots” when we’re in town.

Here it is folks! Another diamond in the rough. The food is OUTSTANDING! Best gumbo outside Louisiana. Shrimp salad fresh and delicious. My brother said the burger was top notch and they have CRUSHED ICE yo!

What a truly wonderful experience! My husband and I love oysters so after reading the great reviews, we made it a priority to come here for dinner on our first night in Myrtle Beach.
They oysters were fresh and delicious. The menu is simple but I truly appreciate that. We brought our two young kids, which I was a little apprehensive about, but the staff and the other patrons were incredible to us. They doted on our girls, even bringing them ice cream for dessert. They had live music outside and such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere inside. We left dinner that night absolutely smitten with this restaurant and the community.
