Located on the Nantucket waterfront at the historic Old South Wharf, bar Yoshi offers innovative Japanese and Asian-inspired cuisine including sushi, noodles and dumplings, as well as poke, ceviche and larger plates. Wow! What a great spot! We never made it into the main building but the smaller side building they call O Bar was so fun. We made it our regular spot during our week on Nantucket. We tried many other places but O bar had a vibe and service that made it hard to beat at the end of the day (or whenever we wanted a drink ). Food was top notch, drinks were amazing.. great variety of cocktails, I really recommend the painkiller. The service was always great, bartenders Sarah and Felipe really stood out and after visiting multiple times, with the place always busy, they were always kind, professional and quick! We highly recommend and will return again.

The food was incredible. Service was outstanding and the atmosphere was perfect for us to kill 1.5 hours waiting to board the ferry. We had the chicken steak and shrimp yakitori and all were so tender. The lobster lo mein and the tempura shrimp roll with salmon on top and spicy tomato sauce were specials and were lip smacking good! The painkiller drink was a perfect blend and for a change a mixed drink not too strong for me. The Seas and Desist was also very good. Expensive but worth it.

Snacked our way through Nantucket but the notable and most exceptional dishes here were the Ichiban roll and the chicken Yakitori! Yum! Cute spot and we got a great seat with a water view! Highly recommend!

Great Asian inspired little cozy place.
Love the atmosphere. Waterview is available inside. The food was good – some dishes were great . We tried different sushi rolls and some of the main dishes. I loved the calamari and the shrimp tempura roll. The drinks were great. I loved my extra dirty martini. The service was great.

By far one of my favorite restaurants i’ve been to on the island. Our server, Vlad, was very knowledgeable and attentive. He gave great recommendations and it was such a great experience! Wish we could have stayed longer but the host will come tell you that there is a limited time at your table. I understand though due to reservations.

nice location on the waterfront (pier)… food was wonderful… serving portions were nice for sharing… interior layout was good… service was great… a bit pricey… we walked in but looks like reservations are taken… the 4-stars is being awarded because it took a very, very, very long time to get seated as the hostess was more interested in chatting with a favored-customer than hosting new customers… will think very hard about returning to this place

I absolutely loved my time at Baryoshi! I went for lunch and it was my birthday that day and the server heard that and after my DELICIOUS meal- he gave me a complimentary dessert with a candle and it was fantastic. The oysters were fresh and delicious the rolls were fantastic just the perfect rice to roll ratio. They are very dog friendly which made my time even better as my friend and I had her golden retriever with us. Next time I’m back on island I will definitely be back!

From the moment we walked into Bar Yoshi, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Our martinis were expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. The sushi was some of the best we’ve ever had – each piece was prepared to perfection. We were even lucky enough to meet with chef Jesse, whose charisma and passion for his craft were evident in every dish we received. Thank you, Bar Yoshi, for an unforgettable dining experience!
