Arrived for lunch on Wednesday, we were greeted and shown the menu. We ordered ribs they were cooked tender and juicy pulled meat off the bones with my fingers, wings are smokey well seasoned and juicy it’s nice to have smoked wings that weren’t overcooked, pulled pork was saucy and finely shredded, macn cheese was pretty good, baked beans flavorful and sweet, potato salad was just OK a little sweet for my liking, collards were perfect cooked with garlic and peppers real homemade taste and tropical lemonade. The dining area doesn’t seem to organized but we did dine in. They have a great selection of sauces. The spicy sauce isn’t just it’s got a lot of flavor I tried it with the wings. All the sauces are good and go well with ribs and wings. Will return we did enjoy all the food. Spend your money here, if you don’t like it maybe you’re ungrateful.

I went there b4 and the food was good. I got macaroni and cheese, collards, and smoked chicken. This time I got the same thing but also a cheeseburger egg roll for $5.50. Y’all, when I tell yall that egg roll was so small and tasted burnt! They ought to be ashamed to even put something out like this. The macaroni was not good this time either, it was dry as heck.

This is place is excellent I’ve had various different meals from this place over the years and the sides can be little salty but hey it’s southern BBQ/soul food you know what you’re in for. The ribs are great. The fish seasoned like grandma and the wait times are never egregious especially since they got the main building back operational.

We ordered 3 dinners.
1. Fried Whiting/Fries, the fish was Disgusting! It tasted like cod oil, it was very thin, like eating paper. Spoke to Owner/Manager and received an apology, no offer to make it right…Money I lost.
2. Grilled Salmon/rice with collards, the salmon was very good, moist, very little sauce, the rice was excellent, collards very flavorful but gave us a headache! I suspect cooked in pork.
3. Lamb chops/rice, we ordered them medium rare, got them well done, but they were decent enough to eat, rice, very good.
“ALL PORTIONS OF FOOD ARE SMALL” especially for the prices. (We shall not be repeat customers).

The here is something special, TRULY mouth watering BBQ and the side dishes are Great! You know a place is going to be around for while when the sides are good. The Mac and cheese is just as good as my mom’s and Rozie can cook! So thanks for a taste of home away from home!

This entire experience was piss poor… and I hate to be so hard on a black owned business, but the truth must prevail! Ordered the lamb chop dinner with grilled broccoli and Mac and cheese. EVERYTHING was cold which is pretty insane to me having waited 30+ minutes for this food. The broccoli was mushy and overcooked. How can grilled broccoli be mushy? My conclusion either it isn’t fresh broccoli being grilled and or it’s being steamed or boiled because the texture made no sense whatsoever. The Mac and cheese was flavorless and while the lamb chops had decent seasoning (meaning salt and pepper) the proportions size was laughable ; however, let me reiterate the big disappointment is how everything was cold. The young lady with the glasses was not 100% pleasant. So for about $32 with tax it was not worth it and was truly comical. Hated that the long awaited experience was so poor!

The food was ok. My sides were hot but my ribs and chicken weren’t. My wife got the buffalo wings and they were abnormally small. The food tasted average. I stood in line and a lady was behind me and her order was taken before mine. I assumed because she was older…no problem. Then the bong came out!
