This place is truly a GEM, any combination that comes to mind you can order and be served with ultimate kindness patience with deciding throughout the vast menu options. The pumpkin pie mix with cheesecake is top tier Greatness, also the best part would be the hours of operation being within the late night snack drive. Although the colder weather’s beginning to sink in they’re open until the week before Thanksgiving so get a scoop and Enjoy a Treat.

I stopped for the first time to get a flurry ( Oreo) after I received my ice cream I notice I don’t see ANY Oreo yeah it’s barely black spots but it looks and tastes like vanilla ice cream. I asked could she re mix it add more cookies she said she’ll have to make a new one which I’m not paying another 5 plus $. I taste it and the vanilla ice cream was good but I ended up throwing it away because I had a taste for a flurry.
ADD more cookies, just disappointed .

Ordered my husband a chocolate flurry with Butterfinger and Reese’s pieces on Saturday, August 16, 2025-and got myself a chocolate sundae with peanut butter sauce. Total came to $10.01
As I rifled through my purse for the penny, the two girls just stood there waiting on that one cent. Most places would have said don’t worry about it. But hey, I get it, I do owe the $10 bucks plus the penny.
I paid with a $20 bill and they gave me a $10 bill back. Which is fine, but I’m kind of surprised they did not hand back a $5 bill with 5 singles, as that’s how you smartly give back change in an industry where gratuity is common.
I’m glad they did not as the following is what really irked me.
I got back to the car and my husband and I started eating our ice cream and my husband said he did not taste the Butterfinger.
I took it back to the girls who were working and they literally told me it’s in there and did not offer to add any or make a new ice cream. I took the ice cream back to the car and my husband finished it. I asked him was there any Butterfinger and he said there was not one piece of it.
You have to love it when someone else is just going to TELL you what you’re tasting or not.
These girls were snobby, obviously don’t know how to give change in a smart way to receive gratuity (nobody is going to tip you a $10 bill when that is all you give back, most cases) and they had no regard for customer satisfaction.
But the thing is they did not give a damn about the minor complaint I had and were very dismissive. It was now NO LONGER about the missing topping, it was now about how we were treated and the tone and demeanor they had.
Some may find it petty complaining over a missed topping for an ice cream, but this is OUR money that we worked hard for.
I’m sure these girls are family to the owner who is a big fan of MSU, and he is usually fantastic, but this experience was really crappy.
After visiting Ice Cream Time for MANY years, we are done after this experience.
You can go anywhere and get treated like crap, but we certainly did not expect it here.

I always love coming here, whether to get a delicious treat, or chatting with Jim (the owner) on my way by while I’m walking. This is a treasure of Ypsi! The staff is always nice, even when they’re slammed with customers. Would recommend to anyone!
