Wow, this was really good pizza. We don’t get Chicago style pizza anywhere near Cincinnati, so I take the chance when I can. Effingham, Illinois has a fantastic spot near the center of the old part of town called Joe’s Pizza and Pasta.
The Chicago style pizza was just amazing. I got the XL hoping to sneak leftovers across the border. This was truly a great pizza and the service was top notch. I was only able to get 2 pieces of the XL down, so 6 more slices when I get home.
Stacy was my server and she was absolutely super in describing the menu and her service was excellent.

Stopped in when I was visiting from out of town as I like trying anything local. I should have looked elsewhere or just ordered the pizza. The salad was fine and the bread was okay, but the spaghetti sauce on my pasta was watered down and tasted like it came from a can, and the meatballs tasted like they were thawed from the freezer. And they only put on two meatballs. Really, just two? Next time I’m in Effingham I think I’m going elsewhere to eat.

Drove an hour to eat here. First had a delightful first experience a year ago. However tonight was awful. Our server was plain rude, not very friendly at. Acted like waiting on us was an inconvenience. Had to go to the counter for refills, found hair in my spaghetti. Waited 20min for the server to come back to check on us. Told her about the hair in my food, didn’t reply just grabbed my plate and moved off. Won’t be back after this experience. The other servers that handled my refills were very polite.

We were traving through and tried the pizza. It was decent. Really liked the crust, thin and crispy. I felt the sauce was a litttle on the sweet side. Over all a decent pizza. Fast service.

Very disappointed in our meal. Ordered almost 100.00 in meals but salad had not toppings requested. We got lettuce, cucumber and cheese. No other toppings nor dressings. We requested multiple dressing and only got ranch.

Joes is my favorite place to get pasta or pizza in Effingham the sauce is so sweet and the food is always hot and fresh! This time I ordered the baked meat balls for a appetizer also a full order of spaghetti for my main meal and it comes with a salad and bread sticks or just bread both are good! Great meal amazing family and great small town business if you are ever passing through definitely have to try Joes Pizza!

Incredibly average pizza for a premium price. Very sweet sauce. Also the meatball sub is just bad. Frozen meatballs in a Chef Boyardee sauce. Very not good.

In the street of old town, this is a perfect place for a pizza joint. The atmosphere is casual. The meals were just ok. The pizza and sandwich had a delicious sauce that has a touch of sweet BBQ flavor and would have loved more. This place is a good for cheese lovers as it is a little thick. They offer your standard pizza, subs and salads. They have a little bar area also to the side.

I had a BBQ chicken and pineapple pizza. There is not a sign directing eat in or take out or a hostess to greet you so ordering wasn’t a real clear process. The staff are super friendly and talk to every table occupied. Carsen was quick, spoke clearly and was knowledgeable about the product. I would eat here again easily.

Great choices for Italian pasta, subs, and pizzas. The Joe-boli was an excellent take on a stromboli. Cute decor and sitting on the downtown square.,
