So happy we came here for our last night in New Orleans! The reviews don’t lie this is a great place with amazing food!! Fav was for sure the short ribs. 100% get that. And the praline bread pudding dessert was out of this world!!! Serving sizes were also HUGE a lot bigger than I expected! Service was great and very very quick!

Best restaurant I have ever been too. The food was to die for. Service was incredible. I loved it so much. Definitely get the mushroom gnocchi because I have dreams about it. I got it as an appetizer. We also got the steak sandwich and fries which was amazing. The redfish as well was delicious.

Absolutely loved this spot. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and top notch service. Went for brunch and fell in love with all aspects of this quaint gem. Our server, Rita, was friendly, attentive, and took such great care of us. The grilled banana bread is beyond words. The short rib benedict will haunt my dreams in the best possible way. Beggars Banquet easily earned a spot on our “must visit when in NOLA” list. Do yourself a favor and just go.

You must go here. Great food & service (thanks Ann Marie). Started with the crispy calamari served with deliciously hot capers & peppers. For the main, the fresh market fish (drum that day) was absolutely superb, paired expertly with oyster mushrooms in a white wine garlic sauce. Those having the prix fixe raved about the salad (look for the ciabatta croutons that surprisingly heavenly), the black drum, and their desserts. Our resident vegetarian spoke highly of the gnocchi with mushrooms in cream sauce. If you’ve not been, add it to your list.

Food was very underwhelming and pretty pricey. Food is cooked well just isn’t flavorful. I ordered the duck and was a pretty bland plate. Truffle fries had too much of the truffle oil that I wasn’t a fan of and made the fries a little soggy. The crudo was the favorite dish of the night though I would remove the mandarin oranges off the plate or blend it in with the sauce. They added sweetness to the dish but the cuts were too big making some bites overly sweet.

Wonderful find just off St. Charles at the beginning of the Garden District (near downtown). Great ambience/not too loud, with very attentive service. We had brunch and it was amazing. From the grilled banana bread and peach toast to the bananas foster French toast, we all enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend!

If you haven’t tried Beggars Banquet, you are missing out on one of the BEST brunch spots in New Orleans!!! I have been to most brunch spots in my city (unless it opened after 2023) because brunch is what I do! Had a great time with my friends celebrating my birthday (plenty of eating and drinking during my trip). The cocktails were just ad tasty as the food. I will be back!

Everything was phenomenal. Went with two friends for brunch and we shared several dishes. Ended up getting a second order of the fried green tomatoes…they were the best I’ve ever had. Service was great. Vibes/decor was impeccable.

Beggars Banquet delivers the kind of dining experience that reminds you why going out to eat can still feel special. From the moment you sit down, the service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—never rushed, never overbearing.

The food is where this place truly shines. The panzanella is a standout, elevated by figs that add a perfectly balanced sweetness. The crab hash is rich and comforting, packed with flavor and cooked just right. The pan shrimp and crab rice is another highlight, deeply flavorful and satisfying without feeling heavy. The steak frites is exceptional: melt-in-your-mouth tender, beautifully seasoned, and paired with crisp, classic fries that let the steak be the star.

And then there’s dessert because skipping it here would be a mistake. The dessert special, featuring pavlova and chocolate mousse, was easily one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Light, indulgent, and expertly executed, it’s the kind of finale that lingers in your memory long after the last bite.

Beggars Banquet nails it on every level: outstanding food, great service, and thoughtful execution throughout. A must-visit—and absolutely worth a return trip!

This was one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had in New Orleans. A beautiful space on the unassuming end of Prytania Street. The decor is not only beautiful, but quirky, thoughtful, and hilarious. When the owner is there to greet guests, is friendly, and approachable, you know you are in a special place. We had the grilled banana bread, short rib benedict, redfish and grits. Everything was absolutely delicious. We opted to sit at the bar and was served by Josa. He made excellent recommendations and wonderful cocktails. We can’t wait to go back for dinner
Thank you for an amazing experience!
