I can’t say Vinny G’s is a better rendition than Ghiringelli, it’s old self. Less than a year old, it already looks worn out. The dark furniture and dim lights don’t help. The food was fine, the service (we sat at the bar) was super friendly though a bit slow, and the prices in keeping with the Bay Area, but ambiance could use a refresh.
In all fairness, we did not partake in all Vinny G’s has to offer. It has a gaming area, dining area and a full bar.
“The whole family can come after a game. The kids can play in one area, the parents can eat in peace in another,” says our bartender.
It is truly a post-event place for the whole family like we haven’t had in Novato since Mary’s Pizza closed. And with a full bar, it does Mary’s one better.

The cocktails were VERY good. They also had some of the best garlic fries I’ve had in a while! Pizza was good but could be a little thinner. But pu can tell they use fresh ingredients. I will be back to try their entrees soon.

The absolute best Pizza in Marin county. Vinny G’s New York style pizza takes me back to the Jersey shore and New York. I have been searching 20 years for Pizza like this and it is now in my neighborhood at Vinny G’s. I can’t wait to try their main dishes.

My husband and I have eaten at Vinny G’s twice now and had excellent experiences both times. The main restaurant side has a good ambience and many TVs, which is nice for watching a game. We got wings and pizza both times… When we went the second time with our friends we all agreed that it’s the best pizza in Novato! They also have a full cocktail list and couple wine varietals on tap. Definitely recommend!

Two pizzas and three salads. Jimmy the Greek pizza was SO salty my guests couldn’t eat it. Ordered one Ceasar salad and two wedge salads. Was told the salads would feed two people. What a joke, two quarter heads of ice burg lettuce with a tablespoon of toppings. A TABLESPOON. At $ 16 each you gotta do better. No one would be satisfied with this. $137.00 so disappointed and when the guy at the counter asked the cook to remake salads he started yelling at him. So unprofessional I was floored by his attitude. Clearly hates his job.

The pizza is just delicious – most important is the crispy crust and the flavors come together so well. I even cheat on my (low gluten) diet although they have gluten free pizzas there as well and those are almost as tasty (but who doesn’t love gluten LOL). I highly recommend. Their salads are yummy as well and the Tiramisu could challenge many places in Italy!
