Good food and decent prices. The website is a mess and I could not customize my burrito order online and get $3 off a $15 order. When I told the employees they were clueless about the online deal and said they don’t know anything about the website. I tried to show them on my phone but the deal only sporadically shows up on their website

We ordered on UberEats and maybe that means the staff doesn’t care but that’s not acceptable. We got rice burritos instead and the cilantro rice was super mushy at that. We really would have loved to have some chicken and steak in the two burritos we ordered. Why order meat if you’re only going to give out rice and a little bit of bean?

It was 4/4/24 (World Burrito Day) – we drove from Houston to Boerne that morning to visit with family. We hadn’t eaten all day so were hangry. I expected a long line but it wasn’t bad at all. I hadn’t been at a Freebirds in a long time but used to go quite often back in the day, so was looking forward to it. If you’ve never been, It’s similar to Chipotle.
My hubby & I each ordered the World Burrito Day special – $6 Burrito, bowl, or salad. When I got to the front of the line, I asked if the limited time brisket was included in the $6 special & they confirmed, so I ordered it. SOME items cost $2 EXTRA so if you want to know what costs extra you MUST ASK otherwise they won’t tell you nor is there any signage on the actual food area that indicates the extra costs. This feels pretty sneaky (underhanded upselling without the customer even knowing until they pay at the end of the line for it) so NOT at all A FAN OF THAT!! E.g. my bowl maker recommended the cauliflower rice, which ended up $2 extra – something they never mentioned . The only one I caught was the guacamole/avocado because many places charge extra so I asked & they confirmed so I skipped. At the end of the line / at the cashier – I found out due to the underhanded upselling, we were hit with a number of small extras $ which we could’ve instead bought a 3rd $6 Burrito, bowl, or salad .
Overall the food is hearty & good, counter service is quick.

The staff was super friendly upon entering. I got a monster size bowl with half chicken and half prime rib. All the food was fresh and I thought it was cool that they had potatoes that I could add to my bowl too.
It was delicious and I even had leftovers for tomorrow. I’ll definitely be back!

We stopped while traveling through San Antonio. Food was good but sign Said ‘Children Eat Free if with an adult” we had 3 adults & 3 children 3,5&7. We were charged for each child. Maybe they should rethink their wording. Ladies Bathroom was out of order, ice machine wasn’t working. Had to go to gas station so kids could use restroom before we got back on the road. Overall it could have been worse but it sure could have been better.

Location at 24200 west is the worst if you’re looking for service it’s not here. The young lady with blonde hair was literally giving my and my husband a hard time. She was throwing the food in the trays to the point where it missed the tray. My husband was so offended and I don’t think she should be working if she doesn’t like her job. It’s like she served us less food. On another occasion I witnessed her make fun of and laughed at two ladies as they walked out.
