How in the world have we gone years and not known about this spot?? Chris, bartender extraordinaire, was great!! He created a fantastic dealer’s choice of distillery gems (of course we bought a bottle of our fave to take home) and was just a cool guy to sit and chat with over drinks. The fact that it’s good-dog friendly? We’ll be back, for sure!!

We came here after seeing a ton of suggestions to visit. The initial reaction was how cool the environment was, but the further we went into the building, the more it smelled like musty sewage. Not totally sure why, but that was a major setback. Because of the smell, it put a damper on the rest of the meal.
The waitress was phenomenal. Very attentive and managing a lot of tables, but still personable. The pretzels were delicious. The prawns were good without the breading, and the fries were seasoned well. Overall, a cool spot. But the smell really was a buzz kill for our whole group.

We had to enter the restaurant through the distillery following a roped off pathway. The food was very good, but the service was pathetic. I accidentally spilled my drink and there was no one to be found to tell, so we found items to clean up. It took forever to get a replacement drink. I thought my credit card was going to expire before finding someone to give us the bill. I personally don’t drink alcoholic beverages, but if their beer is as poor as the service in the restaurant, it’s not worth drinking. I asked if they made their own onion rings and the waiter said yes. When they arrived to the table, I said to him, “I thought you made your own onion rings ” as they were obviously prepackaged, and he said, “we do, we cook them right here “. Scary.

Rogue Spirits Sunset Bar has a great relaxed atmosphere. Every one of their bartenders serves up a tasty beverage, especially Chris & Jackson! The small snack menu is perfect for ordering off of and hanging out to watch the sunset. As a small local business ourselves, we appreciate Rogue and its contributions to supporting local businesses in our friendly coastal community.

Great little bar with awesome views and delicious charcuterie plates and tinned fish.
Excellent service and well designed cocktails that highlight their products.

This company(Rogue) is truly located in a prime spot in Newport, having everything one could wish for. All PR for the company’s products naturally begins with Newport’s beautiful scenery and fresh air. On a sunny day, you can sit and watch the sunset and twilight with whiskey on your left and fresh beer on your right. It seems like it would be charming even on rainy days. It’s a place I recommend, where you can order draft beer, whiskey, other cocktails, and simple soups.

Stopped in for beer and a bite to hold us over until dinner. I enjoy local beer and they have a big selection. Pilsner and Gulch are our go to beers. Both were good and we added the pretzels with mustard and cheese and a bowl of chili to pair with our selections. This place is right on the bay so there are views of the boats. The guy at the bar was friendly and nice. You can tell this is a fun place to hang out
We were in the bar side 21 and older but the restaurant side allows kids. This is located in the actual brewery.

We noticed this spot in a recent walk on the estuary. What a treasure! Excellent mixed drinks and tap offerings. Not as extensive as the main restaurant, but what a great setting just east of the public dock. The bartender passes drinks and food to you through the window if you sit outside (and you should!)
Perfect spot on a sunny afternoon.

FWIW, clouds can ruin the sunset view. Otherwise, this spot would ROCK in clear weather.
Pleasant Barkeep. A short list of Rogue beerw on tap. The gem, beyond the view and the solid tavern aspects, are their distilled spirits. All the tastes are under $15, and I light be outing the man, but generous. Lots near cask strength so a little ice water tomdilut may come in handy, and let you tast all there is in the glass.
Whiskey in Amarone Cask for 9 years 4 months is a joy. Too bad we are travelling and don’t have space to haul a 750 ml bottle.

Love the area, when is weather good enjoy the outside. Cocktails were very tasty, as is the whiskey sampler. If you’re going to the brewery consider a cocktail here.
