For foodies looking for Chinese BBQ in South Denver, New Canton BBQ right by the Aurora HMart is the place to go. Very authentic and quite a lot of selections. The portion is large and good value for the price. Besides BBQ and braised dish with rice, they also have congee, wonton and noodles. Here is their triple roast meat rice. They now are close on Wednesdays (used to be Mondays).

small, hole in the wall restaurant that I’ve driven by hundreds of times thinking it would be subpar. I was very wrong! On a whim, I got the bbq pork fried rice and holy cow- this is some of the most delicious fried rice I’ve ever had. The smokiness of the bbq pork lingers and it makes me want more and more! $17 after tax for a large serving sufficient for two lunches minimum. I can’t wait to try the duck fried rice next time!

I’ve been here a few times and really enjoyed the food here; however, I’m not sure if I want to come back again. I was overcharged again on the 1lb Roast Pork & when I got home, the broth was missing for the Wonton & Noodle Soup with Roast Duck.

Last time I ordered the #9 Roast Pork 1lb & I was charged $20. Today I ordered the Roast Pork again & specifically told them 1 pound & they charged me $23. I brought it to their attentions that the Roast Pork 1lb was supposed to be $16.99. They told me, “yes that is the price but, we added more Pork for you so that’s why you got charged more.”

After I called them out on the price, they rescale the Roast Pork & make sure it was 1lb by taking away the pork & gave me $5 back bc it was supposed to be $17, not $23 for 1lb of Roast Pork.

From my point of view as a customer, I felt like it was sneaky & I felt like I was being taken advantage of when they added more pork even though I requested 1lb of pork.

My advised for other customers is pay attention to the scale & when they are packing your food. Make sure the prices on the menu are being reflected on the receipt.

Overall, I’m just very disappointed on the service, but the food here is really good. I really would like to come back, but I just don’t trust them with my money unfortunately. Maybe in the future I might give them the benefit of the doubt.

My favorite is the roast pork belly. Crispy skin and amazing flavor.

I can easily eat a pound by myself!

Unbelievably delicious duck, so crispy, so flavorful. And very fun to hear the cleaver swing as orders are prepared. I didn’t love the beef chow fun style, but that’s just personal preference

Traditional Chinese food. Overall, the food tastes good, but the crispy pork is a bit too salty, roasted duck is very good. It’s not ideal to eat in the restaurant during summer because it gets quite hot inside.

Delicious. We wanted to go back the very next day for more, but they’re closed on Mondays!

So speedy, so flavorful. The chicken feet were a bit too salty, and the roasted pork and bbq pork were not warm (nor were the chicken feet), and yet it was all DELICIOUS. We absolutely will return. Got the beef chow fun which was superb. Gotta try it if you’re in town. The crispy fried skin of the roast pork is excellent. So good.

Great options and authentic flavors. They have roast pork, duck, chicken and many other dishes like at Dim Sum spots.

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

I’ve always loved this little hole in the wall next to H-Mart. Traditional Chinese cuisine. Unfortunately it has become quite pricey and portions have gotten smaller. They don’t take Amex.

This is where you get the roast duck near Denver, definitively. Sticky, charred, crispy, and consistent whole-animal Cantonese BBQ goodness. Slowly roasted duck, expertly roasted pork, and simple wok noodles. I leave sometimes with 2 pounds of chopped char siu and half a duck and just eat that all week on rice. It works as a “restaurant” but I suggest you interface with it like a deli counter. If you’re sitting, the dry beef chow fun here is pretty nuts.
