The owners of Back of the Yards Tacos are Chicago natives who bring their love for Mexican food to their new home in San Antonio. This food trailer offers pick up and delivery options and serves delicious Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Nopales (Cactus Salad) tacos; and, Tamales Oaxaqueños (wrapped in banana leaf) filled with goodness such as Chicken in Mole Sauce, Roasted Poblano Peppers with Mexican Melting Cheese, Beef Birria Marinated in a Savory Adobo Sauce, Chicken in Spicy Green Sauce, or Pork Rinds in Spicy Green Sauce (Tamale offering changes weekly). Amazing authentic Mexican food truck selling tamales (Traditional Mexican style), street tacos and Pochas. I tried the Pollo en Mole tamale and the Pocha. The mole had great flavor and the chicken was very tender. The Pocha was similar to a quesadilla, but really was very unique. I really loved the nopales as it added such a great flavor in addition to the pastor.

MUST HAVE!!! Food is wonderful and filled with flavor, the Pastor Pōcha is my personal favorite! Food made to order and is FRESH. Tamales changes every week, the Birria tamale is great! I will definitely be returning!

Wow! What a great surprise. I believe this is a couple grinding to spread their deliciousness to San Antonio. I tried one of all five, each one was fantastically delicious in its own way. The green salsa was so good. My only mistake, only ordering 5. It was enough food but it was that delicious.
