El Tambo Grill @ Dolphin Mall was a delicious treat! Great service and food was delicious! Porkchop was cooked perfectly with white rice and fried green plantains aka tostones! The paella was delicious as well!! Lunch special included a drink and a dessert. We chose the chocolate cake and it was delicious! Highly recommend this place!

We decided to eat at Tambo Grill during our visit to Dolphin Mall to avoid the crowded food court. The restaurant was busy, which made it seem promising. We were a party of three: my husband, our one-year-old, and me. We were seated quickly and placed our order, but the wait for food was long. Eventually only my husband’s dish arrived, and it took another ten minutes for my baby’s and my food to come out.
I ordered Ají de gallina, a dish I’ve had before. It was served with three large potatoes under the sauce and very little chicken. By that point, we had waited so long that I just wanted to feed my child. The rice was piping hot, the sauce and chicken were warm, but the potatoes underneath were cold, as if they had come straight from the fridge. My husband’s seafood soup tasted like water with seafood in it. We didn’t complain and simply picked at the food and asked for the bill.
The total was $69 and some change, and gratuity was already included. That was fine, but when the waitress returned the receipt, the tip line was highlighted. When I mentioned that gratuity was included, she explained that it was the “restaurant’s fee” and that any additional tip would go directly to her. I didn’t argue, but I didn’t agree either. It felt misleading, especially in a tourist-heavy area. I’m from Miami, and this came across as an attempt to confuse or pressure customers.
Overall, the food was bad, overpriced, and the tipping practice felt like a scam.

Similar review to another guest. This restaurant charges mandatory gratuity without informing the customers. Also, $1.79 if you use a credit card. All of the above would’ve been fine if the staff would take the time to inform the customers.
Chicha was quite tasty. Good lime flavours. Roasted chicken and fries were mediocre. Very light on the flavours. Stir fried chicken on fries were quite good but a bit overpriced.

Worst place to eat. Went to the one at Dolphin Mall and order a leche de tigre and 1/4 chicken. The leche de tigre was the worst., full of mosquitos and the 1/4 of chicken never arrived. On top of that they charged my card part of the chicken and never apologized for their mistake. Definitely is the place to stay away.!

READ THIS!!!!! Even though food was ok and service was good. At the end i got my bill… what a surprise!!! They charge 18% for a family of 4… and they do not said ANYTHING. I always ask my husband and check the bill… i asked if gratuity was included and they said NO… (they charge 18% for service FEE) and YOU have to pay 18% gratuity on top of that!!!!! Do not go there… is probably a SCAM due to many tourist go there… or maybe they are use to people that DO NOT look at the BILL….only GO there if you are willing to give your money aways… or If you want to pay 36% as gratuity … not even in fancy restaurants do that… that should be illegal!!!

This restaurant surprised us, the food is delicious and the prices are AMAZING! As a starter they gave us free Peruvian toasted corn and if we wanted more they refilled it. We tried the 1/2 grilled chicken that comes with 2 sides of your choice, we ordered maduros and tostones, and everything was delicious, the chicken was juicy and perfect for 2 people. If you come to Dolphin Mall you need to come here! Besides they were very kind and attended us very well!

If I could put zero I would, be careful with this restaurant… they force you to pay the tip more than 15% for a table of two people and when you go to pay they charge you a surcharge for using your card, the tables you cannot eat calmly because they move around one side to the other without being able to enjoy. it’s expensive, for what they serve

The concept and food have potential, but the experience was disappointing. We ordered a crispy chicken burger and received just bread and meat — no sauce, lettuce, or tomato, completely different from the photo.
There was clear disorganization with food delivery: staff seemed confused, and several tables received the wrong orders. Additionally, both restrooms were closed for cleaning at the same time, causing unnecessary delays.
The service overall needs significant improvement, although the waiter was polite and did their best under the circumstances. With so many good options nearby, better organization and attention to detail are urgently needed.
They have potential, but at this moment, I wouldn’t return.
